A couple of interesting blogs, and my responses:
from '2012: What's the 'Real' Truth': 'Bye Bye Banksters - Hello BRIC' by Preston James - orig. posted at Veterans Today - April 2. (The blog was fairly self-explanatory)

The bottom line is to eliminate interest-bearing money (and fractional-reserve banking) and start exchanging goods and services – and giving of our best in the process – out of a higher motive than the one of ‘profit’ (which is only a mindset, is not a law of physics). Out of the highest motive that we could ever hope to run our lives by: out of gratitude to our Creator for life with meaning. Out of, in a word: Love.
Humanity may try to figure out a transitional way to get to that goal. But that IS the goal. So why not go for it at the outset. At the outset of the collapse of the current Order of things. Which is just about upon us.
Time to choose.

…and this, at 2012/'Real' Truth again, blog titled 'Neil Keenan, What He Can Do - And How Humanity Can Help Him: A Response to BeWise - from Jean' - Apr. 4
(BeWise is a young Native American 'elder' who railed against the raping of his people by the Europeans, and how his people did not need money, or anything of value, to live their lives by, rather simply lived in harmony with mother Earth, and said that that was all that we needed to do; to stop talking about, and concentrating on, the 'money' thing. Jean gave a cogent response regarding the work being done by Neil Keenan to help usher in an era of Abundance, on the world's terms.)

An excellent response, Jean, and a fair comment from BeWise.
I would like simply to reiterate here something that I shared on another of Jean’s blog sites recently (‘Bye Bye Banksters’); to wit:
“The bottom line is to eliminate interest-bearing money (and fractional-reserve banking) and start exchanging goods and services – and giving of our best in the process – out of a higher motive than the one of ‘profit’ (which is only a mindset, is not a law of physics). And with the advent of free energy devices – the technology that we already have – that day is not off in the future somewhere. It is here. Now. All we have to do is start acting like it.

So: Things are heating up...
Incidentally, my comment about the technology for 'free energy devices' already being here was triggered by a radio interview I listened to this evening, on red ice radio, with a couple of guys who are 'followers' of the insightful work of one Dr. Walter Russell, who allegedly had some experiences of illumination along his life path, and which input also led him to give to NORAD/Raytheon in 1961 information regarding such a device (along the lines of the power of/from implosion, and spiral motion; like a tornado's energy generation). It sounds as though he was about as naive in doing so as Tesla was in telling J.P.Morgan that he could create electricity without anybody needing to pay for it...anyway: the subject is - and literally as well - 'in the air', as we speak.
And just in time, it would appear. With the collapse of the current social system gaining momentum.
Like an implosive device, beginning its spiraling.

And P.S. I'm also aware of another interesting bit of synchronicity: Earlier this evening I watched Part II of the film Atlas Shrugged. I'm a bit of a fan of Ayn Rand's. Coming out of the Bolshevik Revolution in Russia as she did, she 'knew whereof she spoke', in warning, as best she could, the West about socialism/communism, and their sacrificing of the individual to the state; or as they would put it, 'to the good of the whole'. I supported her in that take on things ever since I came across her writings. Nobody should be sacrificed to any other person, or thing. Her only trouble was that she had but a part of the picture of reality; that in rejecting 'religion' - anything not of reason - she threw the baby of spirituality out with the bathwater of another form of control over humanity/the individual.
I couldn't help but note an irony in watching the film. In the script, the writers carried over the gist of the speech in the book that industrialist Henry Rearden gave at his trial, whereby he extolled the making of money, in the bared teeth of 'the mob' who were trying to inflict him with the pejorative wounds that 'Money is the root of all evil'. He denied it. He was right. And he was wrong. It brought back to me my walk across the country over fifty years ago now, from Los Angeles, when I stopped at newspapers along the way, leaving off a Letter to the Editor; to wit:
'I am a young man walking across the continent, to see the president and draw to his attention that the way to rid ourselves of all our aches and evils is to do away with money.
'If, after considering the matter thoroughly, you agree, I suggest you write a letter saying to Mr. Kennedy.'
What did I mean by it; what was I getting at. I was getting at the 'error' of doing things for profit; for personal gain, via the concept of interest-bearing money - usury. That put the snake in the Eden of life on planet Earth. Without it, we could have been living as spiritual brothers and sisters a long time ago - just as the young Native American 'elder' said in his reply to the blog noted above. But we had lessons to learn.
I hope we've learned them. For it's time for a change.
Real Change.
And it doesn't involve sacrificing individuals to the state.
In fact, it doesn't involve 'the state' at all.
At least not in the sense that the isms make of it. In their grasp of part of the Idea.
Just not the whole thing.
So no, Hank; money is not the root of all evil.
But yes, it is.
And you can take that concept to the bank.
