Glenn's voice is an important one in today's America. And I think he's got the basics right, in this presentation. But
a) He also did not 'cover' the Obama phenomenon correctly (refused to look deeply into the whole kerfuffle around the guy's birth certificate; frightened off by the Left's basically successful campaign to ridicule anybody who raised their heads above that parapet); or he would have understood Obama's solidarity with the Muslim Brotherhood.
As to the Muslim angle:*
b) An ex-Russian gal over here, dentist turned lawyer, name of Orly Taitz - who has an abrasive way about her in making her anti-Obama case (for his being ineligible for that particular office, according to the U.S. Constitution; but he was parachuted into that office on purpose, by TPTB, to further their, let's say, mischievous ends), but can't be faulted for having huge balls when many a male has let that cup pass his lips, damn them to hell for their timidity in the face of their Big Test; an Opportunity for them turned to mush - has come up with a whistleblower who has proof, from a previous job that she held with a Higher Education service, that Obama attended Occidental College as a foreign student.
You may not understand the connotations of that precisely, not being an American. (Too damn many Americans don't understand the connotations of that either; but that's another rant.) That means that he made a case to the college authorities for being an Indonesian national. (Via his step-father.) That means, being a citizen of Indonesia. That means, at a minimum, being a dual citizen. Which rules him out of that particular office - and that particular federal office ONLY. With the constitutional Framers having made sure [as far as they could, at least] that any candidate for that particular office - which also makes the person the Commander-in-Chief of the nation's military forces; a not inconsiderable factor in all this matter - did not have dual loyalties or allegiances, by requiring them to be - again, so that even a duncehead non-American like you understands what this is all about over here, via duncehead Americans like me who just won't drink the Kool-Aid, dammit - a "natural born Citizen". Which means - or at least, meant to them; which is what this 'constitutional Republic' thing is supposed to be all about, anyway; being a contract, between the States and the federal government, and thus not amenable to change except by the mutual consent/agreement of both parties TO the contract - a child being born 'on the soil' (or equivalent thereof) to U.S. Citizen parents - PLURAL.
No dual citizens allowed in that office, baby. You can be a senator. Or a congressman. Or a Chief of the effing Supreme Court of the United States. But you can't be president.
Not of this Republic.
Or there will be hell to pay.
Which is going on, as we speak.
And is only in its infant stages.
Which is why I don't think that Beck's scenario is going to play out.
Because another war scenario is going to beat it to the world stage.
I rest my case.

Who now have a different role to play.
That of their higher Selves.
Where we can all see ourselves as part of One

Family.
Instead of quarreling with ourselves, as part of a family, the way it 'goes' on the 3D level.
Being left behind, now.
For a far, far better thing than we have ever done before.

* Including the little (and little-known) fact that he was financed in his move up the political ladder, to be able to go to an Ivy League college (Harvard Law) and thus get a first-class ticket to the future, by Saudi royal money. Why? Because it was known, by everybody but the American public, apparently, that this guy was being groomed for high office - the highest; and they were afraid that the Republicans were going to go for oil independence, and throw them overboard the cushy liner they were on, and had been on their whole potentate lives.

P.S. You used an interesting form of English in your sentence accompanying your post. You said: "He's no Ed Murrow, but Glenn Beck is and interesting phenomenon." Was that your computer taking over, with its mind of its own, and you just didn't notice it; or...???
I ask, because I see that particular mistake a lot on Internet comment threads; and I've wondered about it: Do people really think that it is supposed to be 'and'??
It goes along with so many English errors that I see constantly on the Internet, grammatical, but also spelling-wise. It's a nightmare, to someone who was taught 'the correct way', and knows the value of clear communication reflecting clear thinking; attention to detail, and all that sort of thing.
Not meaning to be pedantic. Just curious.

Barb, how are you going to barter with China? Please give me a clear explanation on this – not just you, but all those people who agree that money is not necessary! THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH USING MONEY IF IT IS USED HONESTLY, TRANSPARENTLY, AND WISELY. It isn’t practical or sensible to consider running our planet without money! Money should represent the exchange of energy as represented by human effort, and it doesn’t now . . . I can’t see how in practical terms the world could function without money, but I’m open to listening to a simple explantion that gets specific. Hugs, ~Jean

This is in reply to Jean’s very legitimate comment and query. My response:
You don’t need ‘money’, even in the here and now. All you need is a motive for sharing goods and services with one another. The profit motive has been the engine of choice for a long time. It’s time to get off that train; and hop onto – create – a vehicle that operates on another principle. Say, the highest principle there is, and could ever be (this being the time of Ascension, remember; and that mentality kicking in, for ALL of humanity): sharing our goods and services with one another – and giving of our best in the process – out of gratitude to our Creator for life with meaning. Out of, in a word: Love.
As for a medium of exchange: leave (interest/debt-bearing and fractional-reserve banking) ‘money’ behind – as the training wheels that they have been, up ’til now (and got us here; but rather shakily, now, and having (via the consciousness with which it has been imbued) created a lot of mayhem along the way) – and simply adopt some sort of crediting system, like a local LETS system blown up – sorry for the imagery of the expression; let me rather say, ‘writ large’ – to international proportions; whereby individuals are credited and debited according to the services that they perform or receive. (Electronics as WELL can be used fore good or for evil.)
‘Service’ is the key. Performed to and for each other, as the offspring – fractals; facets; aspects of our mutual Source, the All That Is.
Ascension doesn’t happen in a vacuum.
It’s all a matter of consciousness.
And we are all in this together.
Recognized [for what it is]. At last.
Or recognizABLE, at least.

Absolutely. That’s what technology – progress – electronics – is for. That’s why I said “Electronics as WELL can be used for good or for evil” (excuse the typo in the original). In the hands of TPTB – about to become TPTW – going to electronic money & its accounting would be disastrous, just playing into their totalitarian hands. But the principle is sound. And helps us move up to the consciousness level whereby we could even consider such a thing.
As I said: Ascension doesn’t happen in a vacuum. We have our work cut out for us.
Even if it shouldn’t FEEL like work…
