In the New World

     (and that’s not

      the New World

      Of the New World

      Order

      bandied about

      so much

These dark days;

             the days

       before

The Dawn)

Much will become

More clear

Than now.

          And

Take heart:  

      that news

Is good news.

You don’t

Believe it?

You, then, are a Dualist; 

                               one

Who believes that the universe

         is the creation of

A Dark Force, 

             having trapped us for

Its sustenance and amusement. 

Whereas people like me 

            see the universe

In a different Light, 

             as it were;

             as a school

For aspiring ‘magicians’ - 

                     gods 

In our own right. 

The purpose of which, then,

Is to graduate from.

Meaningful, then.

Not meaningless.

                Where

The Light wins out

Over the Dark

In the end.  

Because the Light

Just IS - is

The Essence

      whereas the Dark

Depends on the Light

      for its very

Existence.

Essence, then, coming

Before Existence.

                 Sartre,

        then,

        was wrong

        about

        that

        and

No Exit.

Which should be

A relief, then.

                  Not

A punishment
                   or
Judgement.

Joyous.

      Not

Doomladen.

Take

Another

Look

At your premises

If you are of

The latter

Persuasion.

And be careful

That you don’t create

A self-fulfilling

Prophecy.

     

Be upstanding

       Not   

Downhearted.

The best

Is yet

   to 

      Come.
