It should be considered sedition to attempt to place false rumor about the Government in an attempt to weaken the authority of the President. IN fact, I am pretty sure that it is considered a form of sedition and illegal.
There is NOTHING wrong with reporting news, when the news has been verified independently. However if person A tells a reporter that the president has brain cancer and brain tumors...releasing that information without independent verification should be considered a seditious activity.
The ONLY justification for the fourth estate to have the rights it has is IF they conduct themselves with integrity and not just with their social goals, in fact they should not be having goals of social change if they are a NEWS organization. IF they are a political rag then they should have to say that they are NOT a news agency but are an editorial agency.

Or as CNN practices, 'news as entertainment'. And if there is not enough juice in the news itself to capture the attention of the public, then manufacture it. What they have been engaged in for years and years.

That fits too. I will never forget CNN's war correspondent during the first Gulf War pretending to be broadcasting from a rooftop in Tel Aviv under potential Scud missile attack, when somebody offstage sounded an alarm, and he hurriedly donned a gas mask, and a stage hand gave the man he was interviewing a metal helmet to put on, until the All Clear was sounded. Boy, that was close...all the way from a sound stage in Florida or Georgia, I forget which, as it turned out.
I have discounted anything they have had to say about anything ever since. And I see that they are still up to their old tricks, with the likes of manufacturing - or lying about - a rescue operation in one of the hurricane 'stories,' and so forth. Outrageous stuff. Pure hokum. If CNN said it, it must be false.

Obviously to keep any investigators from knowing too much about the caper, having had an exercise (and actually, more than one) as cover for the real thing; thus, its being far beyond anything that 19 Arabs with boxcutters, or a mastermind in a cave in Afghanistan, could have pulled off.

And you will note that Antifa sports the name, flag and logo of the paramilitary arm of the Communist Party of Germany in the early '30s; and how the far Left keeps referring to Trump as 'Hitler'......
