On Being Appalled

I suppose I should not be, since I knew that things had to get worse before they could get better, but still, I am appalled to discover that a woman is being hauled into court in this country for writing a book debunking the AGW/Climate Change myth.  She apparently got up the nose of some female True Believer who has accused her of being a 'climate change denier'.  

Excuse me?  Since when could you not express your opinion in this country on any subject you wish to, without being hauled into court for it??

It apparently has something to do with some recent moves towards outlawing so-called 'hate speech': You can't say things that 'offend' someone.

What's that?  I think I just heard the Founding Fathers collectively turning over in their graves.

I know that in Germany it is apparently against the law to publish material or speak in historical revision of the so-called Holocaust.  And the same sort of law was passed up in Canada as well; and captured a said Revisionist distributor in its net, until it was apparently rendered unconstitutional some years after the court-case fact.1  But this sort of thing must, simply, not be allowed, in anything resembling to any extent a free country.

What could it lead to?  Laws against speaking or writing against vaccines.  (I could write a book on that one.)  Laws against speaking or writing against the status-quo, medical-pharmaceutical-government-complex treatment of cancer, and for 'unauthorized' cancer treatments and - even heaven forbid! - cures.  Laws against speaking or writing against GMOs.  Laws against speaking or writing against the ''authorized' version of 9/11 ('truthers'); or Obama's ineligibility for the office ('birthers')... The list of 'unauthorizable' subjects goes on.

We really need to be aware of this outrage, as the status-quo kingdom of our erstwhile Keepers starts coming apart at the seams, by pushing too far in its agenda:

to control the populace to within an inch of their lives.2

DON'T LET THEM GET AWAY WITH IT.  You are sovereign entities.  Not sheep to be sheared, cattle to be culled.  CO2 out-breathers to be done away with, because CO2 has been declared a pollutant, and you, therefore, are a polluter - and a dangerous one at that.  For, think of Gaia!  Being desecrated by people!  A cancer on the planet, to be cut, burnt, or poisoned...

No.  A co-creator; to co-create a New World with.  In intelligent symbiosis.

1 one Ernst Zundel; tried twice, the first in 1985 and the second in 1988.  Found guilty on some technicality regarding the wording of the law, but exonerated when the law was declared unconstitutional by the Canadian Supreme Court in the early '90s.  But the facts that came out in court, especially in the second trial, when he had had a chance to assemble some experts in the field - proving that the claim that 6 million Jews perished in Nazi concentration camp gas chambers was a fraud (and making the case that there were, in point of historical fact, no such gas chambers to begin with) - were sufficient to warn any countries not to pass such foolhardy laws, as political correctness run amok.
