America, The Flagship

America, the flagship
            of the fleet
Of nations, sailing
The new seas
Its flag, unfurled,
              wafting
     a message
In the new breeze:
        'It's time
To call a halt
To the old ways
        and enter
A new dimension
       seriously
And with Joy
At the outcome
Already settled
With the projection
Of the old ways
             coming
To a halt
At last.'
Like a bad movie.
But entertaining
For all that.
