BirdMan Of Long Beach

There is one bird in particular that keeps coming back to the back gate of my next-door neighbor, to perch there on lookout before constantly diving down from it to the trash bins below, and the ground around them, looking for morsels for the day, and quickly returning to his relatively safer perch, long tail flicking, presumably in the excitement of it all.  I observe this near-daily ritual from my perch, sitting on my futon couchbed in front of my computer, after my mid-day meal - my first of the day; being the night owl that I am - before diving ‘down’ into it and its entrance into the Internet, for my morsels for the day.  This is all taking place at the back of my apartment complex, from my spare but cosy ground-floor studio apartment, looking out my back window into the fenced-off back area of the apartment complex next door.

This is a residential area, still with a number of single family dwellings; but it has morphed, over the years, into something resembling the sort of accommodation spaces that our erstwhile keepers would like to have us Americans living in - to say: stacked and packed.  Into the cities.  Off the countryside.   Purportedly for ‘saving the environment’.  In reality, for surveillance.

Keeping a ‘better’ eye on us.  So that we can’t more easily fly away from their observation of us.  In our prison cities.  On our prison planet.*  

It’s called Agenda 21, and its successor, Agenda 2030.  Enterprises of the UN, they are billed as ‘Sustainable Development’ initiatives.  Sounds, well, admirable.  But what they really are, are blueprints for takeover.         

I live in a major port town - the small city of Long Beach - ‘feeding’ into the L.A. County area.  And according to one school of thought, the Red Chinese - who have taken over control of said port (as they have other ports in this state; some inland, reaching all the way into its heartland) - are ‘perched’ in there, waiting to swoop down on us, and take over the state, as part of a pincer movement designed to take over the whole country, from both the south and the north, and coming into our coasts, both west and east, from staging areas in Central America.  Here, at the end of the Monroe Doctrine… 

Well.  We’ll see.

We.  Will.  See.

In the meantime, I would, if allowed to, get off my tail feathers and trundle over to the LB Port entrance, and say to those forces, assembled:

‘Attention.  

‘Remember the Flying Tigers.

‘And do not dishonor your ancestors.

‘That is all.’ 

And, for most honorable people,

that should be enough.

For, We Are All One.  And All IS One.

And it is time - and Time - to start living like it.

The Family Of Man

The whole business about then-Judge and now-Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s peccadilloes in his younger days got me to reminiscing; and in the light of what we are all facing now… 

I knew, somehow, from fairly on in my life that I was not just going to ‘grow up and have a family,’ that I was cut out of different cloth, to have a different role, in life.  What that would be, I didn’t know precisely.

I’m getting closer to knowing it now.  Having a sense of the larger ‘take’ on and of the matter.

I knew, or at least could sense, that it had something to do with, in an expression, ‘setting things to rights’.   That we humans should be living with, and by, qualities like Truth, and Honor.

Truth, in all things. Including our ‘religions’…

Not that I always lived up to my inner sense of either of those qualities.  After all, I was born in the family of Man…...

I remember perhaps my first experience of living on the wild side.  I was in my junior high school years by then, as I recall, and I was passing a schoolmate on a neighborhood street one day when he told me, smiling a bit mischievously, that he had just stolen a candy bar from the nearby supermarket, and then simply went on his merry way.

What?! I thought, stunned.  He stole a candy bar…

I would never have thought to do something like that...

I wonder what that felt like, to him…

That must have felt very - daring.

Challenging…

I wonder if…

I wonder what…

The upshot of all my wondering about the matter was that I went down to the local supermarket, to see if I could do - get away with - the same thing.  Had the gumption to try the same daring escapade.  Go on; give it a try, a little voice in me was saying to me, nudging me in that direction.  Nothing ventured…

First, I cased the joint.  Saw where the loot was located.  (Right outside the entrances to the check-out lanes.)  Stood in front of one of the vaults for a bit, all casual-like.  Looked around.  Nobody watching.  Selected one of the string of pearls.  Studied it, as though for flaws.  Put it back.  Looked innocently around again.  Selected another item of obviously singular interest to me.  Studied it for a bit.  Slipped it in my front pocket; took one of the first selections, and stepped in line to purchase it.  Whereupon a young guy working in the place, having noticed where bells were going off loudly, came up to me and asked me quietly, ‘Are you going to pay for that one in your pocket, too?’

‘Yes,’ I replied, all innocent like.  And proceeded to.  And that was the end of my attempts to fit in more audaciously in the world around me.

For awhile.

By the time that I hit high school I should have known that I just wasn’t cut out for that sort of life when another Opportunity for Life Awareness came my way.  It was during my Junior year, when I was in one of the admin offices on some sort of business, and noticed a stack of stapled papers that had been run through the duplicator. (This was before the days of photocopiers.  Yes, there was such a time, and even very recently, as these things go.)  Idly, I glanced at a copy, and was somewhat stunned (there’s that neatly descriptive word again…) to see that it looked very much like - yes, it was: the sorts of questions that were going to be asked in an upcoming class of mine.  (I’m not sure what the class was called.   It may have simply been called ‘History,’ but our educators, in their special wisdom, had a habit of naming classes with funny names.  Like ‘Social Studies’.  What’s that???)  I was thus faced with a choice.  Did I dare to filch a copy (there were so many there, ‘they’ would hardly notice a missing one), and have a more leisurely look at it; or should I just let the Opportunity go.

Another such question in my short life…the outcome:

Like Red Skelton’’s The Mean Wittle Kid: I dood it.  And took it home, and ran through it - sure enough, it was my teacher’s classes’ upcoming exam  And though I knew almost all of the answers anyway, I ‘missed’ some of them at the exam time itself on purpose; not to be too obvious about my expertise.  And as that little caper turned out, I got a lesser score on the test than other kids got who were usually on my same level of ability in other tests in that class.  

So, did I learn my lesson??

I thought so, at the time.  And I should have read the tea leaves and stopped there.  But to drive the ‘matter’ home; and in for a penny…  I had one more fling at walking on the wild side before my high school days were over.  Late in my last semester, approaching graduation, I was taking a test in my Physics class, and was struggling with one question in particular; so close to the answer that I could taste it, as it were, when our teacher called Time, with everybody going up to put their test papers on the front table.  Still struggling with coming up with an answer to that question in my mind, I gave up, and found one on the paper that had just been turned in ahead of mine.  And lo and behold - wouldn’t you just know - it turned out that ours were the only two papers in all our teacher’s classes that got that particular question right.  When our teacher commented on the test’s outcome in the next day or so, he remarked on that particular curiosity, and then said - in front of the whole class - that he hadn’t been able to find out on my paper how I had calculated the answer.  My response - as if from a practiced liar - was to say that “I took a wild guess”.  (Nobody - I don’t think - noticed how my nose had just grown a bit.)  And that was that.  The end of my last year in high school.  And the end of my attempts to be ‘just like those around me’.*  

Or at least, most of them.  To my observation by then.  About how ‘people’ were living, in the world around me.  With business issues, and political issues, and specifically medical issues, beginning even then (this was the early- to mid-‘50s) to demonstrate an attitude that was very foreign to my take on things.  As to how we should be living, on this poorly put-upon but well-gifted planet.  Trashing it, and each other, all in the name of

money.  Having become an end in itself; rather than simply the means to an end - the sharing of goods and services with our fellow Man - that it basically is. 

Which observation I was able to make many years later.  And saw as the answer to our human condition.

To, that is to say, the obstacle to a better human condition.

If - when - we had worked larceny out of our hearts sufficiently enough to be able to achieve it.   

Which we are on the verge of, as we speak.

Ready.  Or not. 

P.S. Now, I wonder what would have happened if I had been successful in my various efforts to take a walk on the wild side.  And got tainted irredeemably with that brush…

     But - as it has turned out - I have been able to see beyond the veil and grasp the larger picture.

     And I encourage those of you who haven’t accomplished that little task, to do so.  Just as soon as you possibly can.  For That Time is upon us.

And P.P.S. It seems to me, on further reflection, that I have touched on this general subject before in these pages, of my journal.  But it seemed fitting to wrap this whole subject up here and now.  Before we head into

     the New World

     of our better natures.

     ..

     I talked recently in these pages about something seeming to “have come” from somewhere else.

     As have we.

     And are now returning there (at least, in that direction).

     The better for the experience.

     Or not.

     Your choice.

     As I made.  After a somewhat rickety start.  In joining - this Time around - 

     the Family of Man.

* I wasn’t man enough at the time to go up to that teacher afterwards in his office and confess.  I hope, and trust, that I am a better man now for the experience.

   If only because I don’t want to have to go through something like that - as ignominious as that - ever again.

   N.B.  He gave me a B for the course. (It was the only B that I got, for Academic Achievement, throughout my junior high and high school career.  I was a straight-A student, except for that grade.)  He should, by full rights, have given me less.

   But it was fit for purpose.

Well put, Alicia.  As for Justice Kagan: Her days on the highest court in the land are numbered.  Getting back to the Constitution: Barack Obama will someday, and hopefully very soon, be arrested and held for trial on a whole host of charges by now, foremost among which is the charge of having been ineligible for the office of POTUS in the first place.  (For not being a "natural born" citizen; which, by definition of the term when it was codified in the Constitution as an eligibility requirement for that particular office - and that particular federal office ONLY, attesting to its special nature in the eyes of the constitutional Framers - is a person "born in the country, of parents who are citizens" thereof.  And that eligibility requirement STILL STANDS, absent a constitutional amendment to the contrary.)  And when justice is rendered in that regard, all of the legislation that he signed into law, and all of the E.O.'s and P.D.'s that he issued, and all of the appointments that he made - including to the SCOTUS, and inferior courts - go with him.  Into the trash bin.  For it to be as though he had never occupied that office.  For, he was never there legally.

And thus, and in similar ways, we wilt get back to the rule of law in this country - its Constitution.  Hopefully having learned some lessons along the way.  Hard as they may be.

“Yes.  To be only fair  - Well, no.  So that we can all live better.  Than.  They are.  Now.”

“I just don’t see how - “

“Young white male, I am sure that you ‘just don’t see how’ a lot of things work.’” (more titters)

“Well. Take, for example, Venezuela.”

“Yes?  What about Venezuela?”

“Well - it would seem…obvious.  That something like what you’re saying didn’t work out there.”

“So, to take your hypothetical.  The answer would appear to be obvious.  To…most people.”  (some titters)

(an angry note creeping in) “Which is,,.that the middle-class capitalists fled when the going got tough on them. too.  Didn’t stay to help build the New Order.”

Discuss.  In the light of, oh, say, Red China’s tracking of its citizenry’s online habits; and if they stray too far afield from the accepted norm, or demonstrate some animosity towards their ‘rightful masters’ - even if just in questioning some policy or other - they can:-

be dropped from their schooling or lose their job and housing (all having been provided them by The State; and so ‘it’s only fair,’ you understand), and even be deprived of a few organs - for at least their value to The State - and then continued on their way into outright execution.  And to note how Google is now advising that State as to how to track even better such potential rebels to ‘the cause’.

The same way that it is doing in this country.  And including taking down outright any ‘offensive’ sites.

To save the citizenry from even exercising their free will to begin with.

He said, who has been deprived of his access to a particular site, of major educational value, via its having been summarily taken down.  On false pretenses.  And is mad as hell about it.

And is not going to take it any longer.

As The Days Begin To Shorten...

Sent to a friend this evening, who had sent me during the day an article by Clarissa Pinkola Estes ('Women Who Run With The Wolves’ author) on trying to stay positive in these troubled times.  I’m not sure that many Americans understand quite how troubled they are:

“I am reminded of something that JFK said once: that he was "reading more and enjoying it less".  I don't know how well you are set up to 'ride out a storm,' but I would encourage you to make sure that you have emergency supplies to hand - drinking water, canned food, flashlight, candles, etc. etc.  You probably know the drill, living in a seaboard state, and subject to potential hurricanes, etc  And the Trump admin did declare September to be an Emergency Preparedness month.  And for good reason.  Not to go into those details here.  Just a note of caution to a friend.

My soberness was occasioned by a couple of articles on one of the many e-newsletters I take, posted earlier today (Thursday, just) but that I didn’t get around to monitoring until this late (almost midnight, now).  From what is called The Common Sense Show,' of a man living in AZ named Dave Hodges, they told of communications to him from some insiders in the DHS and FBI, warning of severe days ahead, involving the likes of embedded terrorist cells and impending invasions, from both the north and the south, and at least the West coast.  Where I live.  Precisely where I live, as one of the ports figuring in the longstanding plan for takeover of this country, by collectivist forces.  To say: Communists on the front lines, with the fascists who are truly behind the push for a New World Order lurking in the background.

Not to go into all the details here.  Just to say, that we seem really to be in some last days. 

Stay tuned.  While you still can.  Use electronics, that is to say.

On Fighting Back

I received my monthly copy of the Media Research Center’s ‘Watchdog’ newsletter today.  It was about all I could take.  The lead article was full of vile, reprehensible things that the MSM has said about Pres. Trump, from the very beginning - and when he fights back, and calls them on their ’fake news,’ they get all indignantly hot under the collar, and accuse him of the likes of creating “dangerous consequences” for their, er, reporters.1  

They can attack him - unmercifully - but he can’t fight back??

Bull.  Shit.

And how is it that CNN is still in business, anyway?  I remember distinctly when their war correspondent pretended to be reporting from a housetop in Tel Aviv under Scud missile attack during the first Gulf War, to the point of hurriedly donning a gas mask when a warning alert sounded off-camera, causing a stagehand at the same time to hand a metal helmet to the guy whom their correspondent was interviewing at the time, before the All-Clear sounded.  A close one, that…all the way over to a sound stage in Florida or Georgia, I forget which it was that the story finally came out about.  And they have engaged in other, similar con jobs since then.  How much of this sort of phony news - news as entertainment - is the public supposed to take, before it stops watching the nefarious likes of CNN???

And it’s all much like this current Judge Kavanaugh thing.  I don’t happen to support him for the SCOTUS.  He has too much of a leaning towards ‘settled law ‘ - stare decisis - and for an ‘imperial executive’ (allowing Pres. George W. his so-called Patriot Act) to my taste.2  But something is going on here, that I will not support even more.  He can be attacked, to the detriment of his reputation and his family, but if he decides to fight back, for it all having gone too far, he is then attacked by these same jackals for not having a proper ‘judicial demeanor’??

As I say…

Let’s get real, folks.  This country is under attack, by homegrown terrorists, in the form of the MSM, much of our education institution (there’s that ‘the long march through the institutions’ thing), and of our political arena, both elected representatives and bureaucracy, and including those players in this drama who have insinuated themselves - and been insinuated - into positions of responsibility over our electoral systems.  And ‘they’ were so close to victory, with their witch (literally) Hillary, they could taste it - before The Donald came along and rained on their parade into their totalitarian New World Order.  Because if our erstwhile masters can arrange economic matters sufficiently, and indoctrinate our youth sufficiently, to seduce enough people into being dependent on the government for their food and rent and health care, they’ve gotcha.

 And that would not be a pretty sight to see.  Much like the aftermath of the Bolshevik takeover of Russia in 1917.  It’s called - with good reason - The Terror.

And I’m not about to see that happen to this, my home country.          

And I urge you, dear Reader, to make the same claim to this country, too.

The land of the free, and the home of the brave.

Well.  We’ll see about that.  Won’t we.

(A few days ago, Steve B., the ‘honcho’ of this site, came out, amazingly I thought, in support of Sen. Graham’s rousing defense of Judge Kavanaugh, in questioning Prof. Ford’s testimony and background (he knew at that point that she had some connection with the CIA, and figured that they were up to tricks, in attempting to block the judge’s nomination to the SCOTUS for their devious purposes).  As a result, he was roundly criticized by many of his ‘spiritual’ audience, who have blithely taken Prof. Ford’s side in the matter, because of wanting to support sexual-assault victims, etc. etc. (the liberal pov, down the line).  He basically apologized, but mostly to acknowledge that he didn’t have all the info, about the two in the ring and Sen. Graham, and thanked his audience for letting him know more.  But - good for him - he still stuck with his concerns regarding Prof. Ford’s relationship with the CIA.

     I threw a comment in, here at the end, just to give him some support.  More people need to wake up as to what is REALLY going on in this troubled old world.  Getting read for

Dear Steve: Briefly: Just to let you know that I appreciated your willingness to go against the tide and realize that there was something 'wrong' with Prof. (not Dr.) Ford's testimony. Many of those who posted to you in anger, etc. have apparently not kept up with all that is coming out regarding Prof. Ford's testimony, and her background. (Selective vision?) I realize that you are staying out of the 'arena' now, but I just wanted you to know that you do not really have anything to apologize for, although you have a good point about staying out of a 'fight' if you are not willing to engage in it all the way. But definitely; as they say: Watch this space. And keep up the good work. Stan

On The Other Hand...

Let's look beyond Dr. Ford's testimony for a moment.  Although, some crucial facts have emerged about it, regarding conflicts between it and her therapist's notes; the latter referring to the mid-80s, and a different number of people involved.*  Let's look at Judge Kav's story.

He admitted to drinking beer at the time, and doing 'some things' that he is not proud of, but 'everybody' drank beer, and he never went blank when drinking, and anyway, that was all a long time ago.  But if it came out, under this additional look by the FBI into this whole thing, that he, in fact, became quite a different person when under the influence of alcohol - what then??

Well, it wouldn't prove that he had had anything to do with Dr. Ford.  But it would bring up additional questions regarding this whole thing.  And the Democrats would jump all over it, and thereby succeed in putting off his confirmation vote, hopefully - for them - until after the midterms, by which time they may be able to pull out all the stops and cheat their way into some more seats in the Senate and possibly House as well, and thereby hamstring Trump from ever being able to get any more appointments onto the SCOTUS - and thereby save any review of Roe v. Wade; which seems to be a key issue here, for the Dems.

Interesting.  So, my thoughts:

If a question about Judge Kav's past does come out from the FBI's 'supplemental investigation,' that threatens to delay the confirmation vote, a scenario to consider would be to let Judge Kav's confirmation vote go for now, and for Pres. Trump to nominate an even better conservative/constitutionalist candidate, in the form of that Catholic woman with five children who is clearly not wedded to abortion per se, but to the Constitution, and its proper interpretation.  And have the Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee, and the Senate itself as currently constituted, rush her nomination through to completion before the midterms.  And then re-visit Judge Kav's nomination on the other side of that major electoral divide.

And that would also allow some further digging into Dr. Ford's story.  Because there may be a very deep subject here, that needs to be brought out, into the light.  And not only for the country.  But for Dr. Ford herself.  Having to do with her deepest feelings.

My theorizing: She has engaged in abortion herself.  And being a basic moral being, has some deep anguish about it.  And so, in a manner of projection, does not want that issue revisited.  Because it may bring up her deep sense of guilt about it.  And a person could very well do anything - anything - to keep from having to face that fact about themselves.        

That they caused the death of a life.  And not just any old life.  But a life that they were giving existence to.  And chose to terminate.

Were responsible for.

This could be a very existential thing for Dr. Ford.


May we all benefit - in the long run - from this whole matter.


PS. To be totally transparent about all this: I personally don't think that there is going to be a midterm election in November.  I think that things are going to come to a head in this country before then, and it will be A New Beginning in America, and the world.
     But taking things one step at a time...

     I am not happy about this.  And presumably, neither is he.

* Why would this be relevant?  Well, for one thing that would place her closer to the 'days' when she was becoming quite a party girl - according to a close friend of hers.  And that, of course, would undercut her story, of being the very young innocent who feared for her life under Brett's mistreatment of her.  (Never mind that she can't recall how she got to the house, or who drove her home, or that none of the people that she has identified as having been there have corroborated her story - but she clearly remembers that it was Brett who was involved.  In whatever.)
