Whatever It Is, It's Contagious

‘Wah!  Wah!  Wah!’

‘What’s up.’

‘We wuz robbed!’

‘Of what.’

‘Of the election!  Wah!  Wah!  Wah!’

‘How so.’

(Briefly cutting the sobbing) ’What?  What do you mean, ‘How so’?  We were way ahead in the polls, and then we beat that horrible man badly in the vote itself!  Haven’t you been paying any attention to what has been going on in this country?!  - ‘

‘Oh, indeed I have.’

‘ -  We have been robbed of our rightful victory!  Wah!  Wah!  Wah!’

‘First things first.  About those polls.  Didn’t something about all that seem kind of strange to you?  I mean, looking at the huge turnout of supporters that Trump had, consistently, throughout the campaign; and the comparatively very small turnouts for Hillary.  Doesn’t that tall you something??’

‘Oh, that sort of thing doesn’t matter.  What matters is the polls!   And we were way ahead of him, right up to voting day!  Wah!   Wah!  Wah!’

‘You were ‘way ahead of him’ according to the mainstream media’s polls.  Private polls were telling a very different story.  But let’s move on.  He won.  That’s it.  Right?’

’NO!!  It’s NOT right!! Hillary won the popular vote by 2.8 million votes!  She is the rightful winner!’

‘But of course, the Popular Vote isn’t what counts, in this system.  It’s the Electoral Vote.  Right?’

‘Oh, that old horse-and-buggy stuff - that’s not what counts!  It’s the popular vote that counts!  Wah!  Wah!  Wah!’

‘But not in the system as it is.’

‘But it should be!’

‘But it isn’t.’

‘But it should be!’

‘But it isn’t.’

‘Well it SHOULD be!  Wah!  Wah!  Wah!’

‘Well of course, you can work towards that, for another time, if you wish.  Understanding how a federal system of government works.  But moving on; and about that ‘popular vote’ for Hillary.  Doesn’t it seem a little strange to you that many states don’t have either very substantial voter ID laws, or even any at all, and especially at a time when there are millions - millions - of illegal ‘immigrants’ in the country, and other non-eligible voters??’

‘You’re just trying to change the subject!  And anyway, that’s voter suppression!’

’Yes, I understand the leaders on your side of the political aisle call it that, conveniently.  I would call it, common sense.  But let me ask you: What if the shoe were on the other foot?’

(sobbing slowing down) ‘What?’

‘What if, given the system as it is, your candidate had won the Electoral College vote, but the other side had won the Popular Vote.   How would you feel then??’

‘It doesn’t matter!  The other side doesn’t deserve to win!  They are filled with a bunch of racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic - ‘

‘What does that latter demonizing word mean, exactly?’

‘It doesn’t matter!  They are them!’

‘R-i-i-i-ght…You know what?’

(blowing nose) ‘What.’

‘You have a case - a bad case - of infantility.’

‘Infantility.’ (sniff sniff) ‘What’s that.’

‘What you have.’

But not really.  Right?  I think we all know what the Left has - and their puppet masters behind the scenes, controlling - trying to control - both sides of the political divide in this country.

They have a bad case of totalitarianitis.

And it needs to be treated.  Excised, even.

And like,

now.
