Well put, Ron. My thoughts:
First of all, please correct your spelling in the header and in the body of your excellent article: it’s throes.
Next. This is an excellent Opportunity, to move into a whole new stage of development for humanity, let alone the U.S. It is really coming right down to it now: Either we are ‘spiritual beings having a human experience’ or we are not. If we are not, then nothing really matters ANYWAY, and one might as well live exclusively for oneself, independent of the effect of that pursuit on others, as not; for the end of the closed system of life can, then, as easily be seen as that as anything else, a presumed value in some degree of cooperation with others, or a complete collectivist hive, or whatever. If we are, however, then it would behoove us to start acting as if that were the case, and not as if it were not, as we are doing largely at present.
What would that sort of world look like? For starters, it would entail a whole new ‘economic’ system; one based on abundance, not lack. For, we have everything we need, to have plenty of most things for everybody, and everything for some, depending on their degree of service to the system. And that is the key: to change our monetary system from one of lack to one of plenty. Long story short: There is enough gold available for everybody to have a basic life of joy; as we share our goods and services with one another – and give of our best in the process – out of a higher motive than the current one, of making a ‘profit’. Out of the highest motive that there could ever be:
Out of gratitude to our Creator for life with meaning. Out of, in a word: Love.
Such a ‘system’ entails doing away with interest-bearing money – money as debt – and its partner in crime, fractional-reserve banking. Those ‘ideas’ (for that is all they are; they are not laws of physics) stand in the way of Abundance. The communists and their less extreme brethren, the socialists, have been attempting to do that sort of thing without the proper ingredient to The Process: God, and our gratitude to our Creator for what we have been given. To work with. To create out of.
There’s more – Including ultimately moving away from the gold backing to our medium of exchange, and simply sharing with one another out of Love (and a system of recording our credits and our debits to The System). But that is enough of a ‘taster’ to start with.
In my humble opinion.
It is time, that is to say, for us to Get Real. To say: to acknowledge our real identity.
The alternative is too unthinkable to contemplate. And staring us in the face.

Let The Law be served.
When it is not an ass. As it sometimes is.
But not in this instance. This was a clear instance of damage of property, aka vandalism. And every time these 'demonstrators' damage property (or persons), they need to be filmed in the act - NO MORE MASKED FACES - traced down, and be served justice for their actions. And that will put an end to a lot of the out-of-control stuff going on these days.
If it is allowed to get out of control, it will do just that.
