Has proven

This year

On two counts

In particular

To be

A budding

Despot

(and therefore,

        his eager

        followers

Despoteers).

The first was when

He signed into law

Legislation

That allowed - that

Allows - illegal

Aliens to apply for

And receive

California

Driver's licenses.

             Thus

Eliminating

With one stroke

Of the pen

A heretofore basic

Source of

Identification

For proving one's

Citizenship status

        (for needing

A birth certificate

To get one).

        (In point

Of fact, I sent

His office

An email

Message

On that occasion; 

           to wit:

                    'Dear

Governor Brown,

Congratulations.

With other states

                     sure

To follow suit

You have just signed

The death warrant

For the American

Republic; at least

Aa it has been

From its founding.')

         The other

Proof of his

Budding

Despotism

Was when

He greeted, in

Los Angeles -

             and as

Reported on by

The Los Angeles

Times; not by

A passing Patriot -  

           the Mexican

President, and said

Words to the effect

To the largely

Hispanic audience:

              'I know

There are some

Undocumented workers

Amongst you.  But you

Are all welcome

in California.'

                         WHAT?!

His following words

Were largely drowned out

By the growing sound

Of millions of feet

Making their undocumented

Owners' ways to California

Just as fast

As they could,

                       before

It, and the country

At large, came

To their collective

Senses, and kicked

Them out

Like, pronto.

    Let me be clear

About this matter.

My sympathies lie

                    rather 

With legal immigrants

Who have come into

This country

            the proper way

            and thereby

            have shown

            that they

            are potential

           good, 

           law-abiding

           citizen

Material.  

            Illegal aliens

            should never

Have been led to believe

             that they 

            one day

Could be citizens

Of this country.

If they still

Want to, they need

            to go out

            and come

            back in

The right way; 

That is to say

            through

The front door.

                     No

Exceptions.

In the case of illegal aliens

                   who 

           were seduced

                   into

Coming into the country

             that way

         by promises

Of employment, I

Can only say 

That those who acted thusly

Will be dealt with

Accordingly.  But

         two wrongs

         don't make

         a right.

         Let alone

          a right

          to be here

          illegally.

          Know

That you will be kidding

Nobody with any

Protestations of

Innocence

If you try.  

                      I have

Strict standards

In such matters.

                  Abide

By them.  Or leave.

                        If

I were in charge,

That is.  And not

The likes

Of the budding

Tyrant

In California

In charge here

At this time.

Who needs

A good licking

At the hands

Of an aroused

          citizenry

Who are about

To lose

The integrity

Of their vote

By being

Disenfranchised

Surreptitiously

In the interests of -

Among others -

La Raza.

Who are not going

To take over

MY country, 

                      last

I knew anything

About it.

So be forewarned

Governor

Jerry Brown

Of California.

           You have

An enemy - I

       would like

       to think

A formidable one -

                           in

Your midst.  

For I have Right

On my side.

And not just

Relatively

Speaking.

As with your 

Pragmatic

Stance.

You

Are

Mistaken

Both ways.

History

Is not

With you

As you

Apparently

Think.

It

Does not

Run

Just linearly; 

 with the likes

 of demographics

Only.

     And that's all

I'm going to say

For the moment

On these subjects.

A word

To the wise

Should be

Sufficient

In most cases

At least.  Even

In the case

Of just

A wise guy.
