The Mormons have missed their big chance to have a major impact on politics in the U.S. - and life on the planet - by failing to catch the fact that Ted Cruz is ineligible for the office of the presidency - and by extension of the same eligibility factor, so is the Usurper in the Oval Office - and so missing the opportunity to send 'their' state's contingent to the RNC as Uncommitted, and thus performing a major service especially to and for the country, by highlighting this fact, and holding its delegates to a vow to make sure that Cruz is NOT continued as a candidate by the Republican Party. This 'spoiler' role could have been played by a people who call themselves Later-Day Saints, but are not walking the talk. They have missed their golden opportunity to show how loyal they are to the American Republic. So, it's solely up to those on whom that duty has always fallen:
our Oath Keepers.
Thus, such comments as the below:

All the more reason that our Oath Keepers, current and retired, need to do their fiduciary duty and arrest the Usurper in the Oval Office as their illegal Commander in Chief and hold him for trial (on a whole host of charges by now, including fraud, perjury, and treason); dissolve the sitting Congress for failing to do ITS constitutional duty in reining in a rogue executive, and sequester all their files, as potential evidence against them of further wrongdoing, like receipt of bribes; and keep the peace while they appoint an Officer of The People to arrange for new elections within a time certain. and in the meantime to clean up the mess in Washington, D.C.. And we start to take our country back from the hijack going on - from both sides of the purported political aisle, i.e., the far Left and the Far Right, crowned at the top of the pyramid of power by the same nest of vipers behind both factions, in attempting to install their totalitarian New World Order on the nation, and the world.
And all of that is just for starters. Next: the dissolution of the current fiat-money monetary system, and its replacement with a gold-backed currency; on our way ultimately to a moneyless system altogether. But first things first. And tempus fugit.

As to the potential role of Utah, and by extension, the priesthood of the Mormon Church, in all this:
If Utah had done its possible job, the following scenario could have unfolded. Their (rock-solid) withheld vote holds up the nomination process. A dark horse 'candidate' is then presented by them to the Convention. Who begins his address to the Convention by quoting from de Vattel's 'The Law of Nations, Or Principles of Natural Law,' Book One, Ch. XIX, Sect. 212:
"The natives, or natural born citizens, are those born in the country, of parents who are citizens...those children naturally follow the condition of their fathers..."
He then goes on to say:
"We in our day are being asked to believe that this category of citizen is no longer an eligibility requirement for this office. I ask you, or anybody, to show me the constitutional amendment to that effect.
"Absent such an amendment, the requirement still - stands.
"Therefore, Ted Cruz is ineligible for this office. And so he needs to stand down, honorably, from being a candidate for it.
"And by the same token, Barack Hussein Obama is ineligible for the office. And so, he needs to stand down from it. Or be stood down.
"His call."
And we thus enter a - the - New Era.
Or not.
Our call.
Peaceably.
