So, let me get this straight. Rafael ’Ted’ Cruz was born in Canada. So he is a naturalized citizen of the U.S. at best.* And born of a Cuban citizen father. So he is a dual citizen at best as well. But wait a minute - his American citizen mother had, before his birth, taken Canadian citizenship, and couldn’t have been a dual American citizen as well, because Canada at the time didn’t recognize dual citizenship. So she would have to have relinquished her American citizenship, in order to become a Canadian citizen. So, at the very, very least, our Ted was a dual citizen of both Canada and Cuba; but, since Canada didn’t allow dual citizenship at the time of Ted’s birth, he was born a Canadian citizen at actual best. But, he gave up his Canadian citizenship when he started his run for the American presidency, and ’discovered’ (this self-described ‘constitutional expert’) that he had such documentation. So: what country is he actually a citizen of? Or countries??
There is the possibility that he is a citizen of Cuba, from his father’s citizenship. But that depends on what Cuba’s regulations were at the time of his birth regarding children of Cuban citizens being born in another country. But then, there is also the little matter of Canada not having allowed dual citizenship at the time that little Ted was born in that country…
In any event: the bottom line of this little exercise is that he is not eligible for the office of the presidency of the United States IN any event. So:
Would the real ‘Ted’ Cruz please stand up? And admit that it has all been a bit of play-acting??
And we can thereby draw a close to this Play that we have been engaged in. For, as the Bard observed:
"All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players; they have their exits and their entrances…"
As for the other aspect of this subject:
from totalconservative.com: ‘Did Glenn Beck Go Too Far?’ - shawn - March 27, posted here March 29
(Beck going too far in lambastingTrump and praising Cruz)
..
Good commentary, shawn. Thanks.
Cruz "was anointed for this time"?? Like that other ineligible candidate for that office, the you-should-excuse-the-expression incumbent, Obama???
Maybe. In the sense of teaching us that two wrongs don't make a right. And better no wrong in the first place.

So. Have we now learned our lessons?
Sufficient to progress from here??
Up???…

* He and his candidacy crew - and TPTB behind the whole shebang; trying to play Bre’r Rabbit with Cruz (’Oh no - don’t throw Cruz into our briar patch - anybody but him. OR Trump. Please don’t give us either of them. But of the two, at least make it Cruz. Sigh.’ Snicker snicker…) - are trying to play hide the pea in a shell game regarding the definition of a ‘natural born’ citizen by getting the public to look at his ‘constitutional expert’s’ explanation that a citizen born out of the country can still be a natural born citizen, by dint of the Naturalization Act of 1790. Failing to point out that that Act was repealed, by the Naturalization Act of 1795, and on this very point - that the earlier Act’s reference to a NBC led to a misunderstanding of the term, thus corrected, with both Madison and Washington in concurrence. The Congress in the 1790 Act was in no way amending the original, constitutional Framers’s definition of the term (taken from E. de Vattel’s definitive tome of the day on this whole sort of subject matter, ‘The Law of Nations, Or Principles of Natural Law’) - and, in point of fact, could not. It would take a constitutional amendment itself to do that sort of alteration, to such fundamental a part of the contract as the eligibility requirements for the presidency of the U.S. Congress alone not having that authority.
But what’s a little matter like the rule of law, eh. to a regime, and period of time, when we are essentially under the rule of men. Aka arbitrary law.
Aka tyranny. Where the current Executive is exercising all manner of dictatorial powers, and has been for his whole term in that purloined office. The situation well set up for him by his immediate predecessor in the office. Another story. Also to come out; when the Truth outs regarding this whole sorry mess. Which it will.
Which - it - will. And especially since
it’s time.
