I was recently
inspired
to write
that
I was one
Of the Founding
Fathers
of this
nation.
How
could
that be?
what
was that
all
About?? I have
Wondered……
It was in
Philadelphia in
The sweltering summer
Of 1787, where
Our nation was forged
In the fires
of debate;
but
It was sold out
By the Fourth Estate
In our time
And place.
Which has been
not only
a huge
disappointment
but
a huge
Disgrace.
And yet, we
Are quite probably
those
Who were there
At that time
and place
Too, and, more-
over, on
The other side
Of the equation
governing
Such things
and righting
Their way out
To a proper
Conclusion; not
just
the temporal
one
called
forth
and
for
at
the role-playing
Time...
So, on that note:
I could have been
George
Washington
in
but not of
the fray;
but
I could
as well
have been
George
Mason,
who smelled
a rat
in that
process
and yet
here I am,
defending it
in this life
as if
it had been
my
idea
in
the first
place.
Interesting,
this business,
isn't it
of things
unfolding…
as to that
Hell, I
could even
(as
these things
go)
have been
Alexander
Hamilton,
who
proposed
a simple
citizenship
requirement
for the office
of
the presidency
but
another
more strict
example
in
the genre
prevailed,
taking
further
into
consideration
the crucial
fact
that
the occupant
of that office
would
as well
become
The Commander
in Chief
Of the nation's
military
forces,
and therefore
should not
have any
conflicting
loyalties
or
allegiances -
like a
naturalized
citizen; or a
DUAL
citizen
(hint
hint) -
a notion
that I
support
whole
heartedly,
over
and against
the proposal
put forth
by Hamilton
That, for what
It's worth, I
oppose
vehemently
in
this
time
and
place.
What
a hoot
…but what
a revolting
a revolting
development
this is
Regardless.
Regardless.
