A Little Common Sense...

…Can Go A Long Way

The mind boggles…...

1) No more welfare freebies like they have been doled out. The hardworking taxpayers deserve better on that 'deal'. If someone needs to move to find a job, they need to move. Duh.

2) Druggies? No more goodies for BEING a druggie. Help them kick their habit, yes; but make it an intelligent hand up, not a handout. If they don't engage in a legitimate rehab program (not just 'maintenance'), cut off the welfare shots. The one habit is as bad as the other.

All in all: A dose of common sense. Enough of this non sense.

If the politicians won't listen to reason, 1) Fire them; and/or 2) Refuse to pay any more taxes towards insane measures. Make the message crystal clear: If you don't work and you can, you don't eat.

America was never supposed to become a welfare state. Get it back on track.

Disgusting. Utterly disgusting.

Conservativebyte.com has a valuable feature: On its site it has links to: Full Time Jobs; Part-Time Jobs; Warehouse Jobs; and Hourly Jobs.

Good for them.

The nation must stop making it so easy and cushy to be and stay on the dole.  And with the change regarding marijuana laws creeping in, they either need to

a) refine the urine test for occasional users, or

b) make a new law, that if you don't pass a drug test: no welfare or food stamps.

As another poster on this site (besides the 'pot' commenter of point b above) said:

"Ben Franklin spoke that people should be made uncomfortable in their poverty as that would be a spur to having them look to get out of that situation.
Here we get told that a person on government welfare can be looking to get more money for doing nothing than if they were to work, or almost as much money as if they were to work.
"So why would a person making $40,000 or more of government benefits and having no job, want to look for a job that pays them less.
"England had this problem years ago, and I seem to recall that the solution was welfare was cut to below what a person made for working. Stopped the welfare society very quickly.
"Unfortunately the do gooders, with other people's money, came back and it has all gone for naught."

I lived in the UK - Scotland - for many years, and I can attest to the ongoing ridiculousness of the situation there.  Examples abounded.  One - reported on in/by the London Times; not a muckraker of a paper - was a young guy, living on the dole, who went around and serviced young females, who then had his babies, on the dole.

Heads will roll……

In the meantime,
Let's get it clear:
                        America
             was never
Intended to be
A welfee state
                     is for
A citizenry
Who know how to stand
On their own two feet

And keep it secure
From marauders,
      from without
And from within;
Highway robbers
Of every kind.

May it return
To its rightful estate.

…and while we're on the subject of

Getting Clear

I never quire landed
On this level, kept
My wings intact
For a future mission.
                   And now
It's here
              and as good
As done.
