Happy Solstice Day

December
           21st:
             the
    shortest
            day
        of the
          year
    when
    the sun
    appears
    to
    disappear
    into
    the tomb
    of the
    earth
    for
    three
    days.

    Sol
    Invictus
    hopefully -
             and
    lo!
    It
    is
    Risen!
            The
    Sun!

          of the
         Unknown
          in
      three
      days,
      as
      joyfully
      anticipated.

   And to
   this day
             in
   three
   days
   hopefully
   ever
   from
   December
   21st
   will be
   the Sun's
   Return
   again.
            And
   again.
            And
  again.
            And
   again…

          And so
         on
  December
   25th,
   in order
                 to
   celebrate
   in the
   dead
               of
   winter
                to
   this
   very
   day,
           mind
   you,
   the return
   of the Sun
   we shout
   tidings
   of great
   joy:
   Happy
   Birthday,
           Sun
         of the
         Most
         High!

 (whatever
         that
         is,
         pre
        cisely)

…and the shout
Is heard
Throughout
The stage.

           Isn't
           that
           how
        it goes??
        I
        get
        confused
        sometimes,
        in
       my
       advanced
       age……
