On The Eve Of Christmas 2014
Who are
My heroes
To help me
on my
Hero's
Journey
(which we
are all
on
as well)?
Well,
there was
Patton
for one
(that's
General
George S.
Jr.
to you
younger
set
who
missed
out
on
the
Greatest
Generation.
As I did
too, by
a
whisker
as it
were)
who
struck fear -
no;
strike
that:
who struck
capitulation
into
the hearts
of
his enemies
and defeated
them
there;
And then
there
was
MacArthur
for
another;
who
knew
the value
of the larger
than life
gesture
in order
to accomplish
Your ends.
And what of
The past?
Cicero
for one.
A man
for all
seasons.
Like -
precisely
like -
this
one
we are
suffering
through
as we
speak.
And what
about
Jesus,
then??
Ah.
A problem
with
that
one.
It would appear
that
the history
that
Has come down
to us
with respect
to
that
personage
is
persiflagious -
is
not true
to history
but
rather
a bit
of
camouflage
in order
to help
the Roman
Empire
do
its
empiric
thing.
So, no
comment
on that
one.
Oh; and
Alexander
of
Macedon,
known
as
The Great.
A great
leader
of men
in
his time.
And Lao-tsu
too;
what
a clever
mind
he had…
But
what
about
American
presidents,
you say??
In our day
I
would say
there was
Ronald
Reagan;
for
giving the people
a positive feel
(except for
the leftists,
that is;
who
want to
spend
other
people's
money
for them).
Other
than
that
one,
I
will
pass.
As for
the past
in that
class:
Gee;
there were
so many.
Time
has a way
of decaying
things.
Doesn't
it……
