The New Clime

     The New Clime

I think it incontrovertible

               that we are all

                      chips

Off the old block, cut

From the same cloth,

As it were.  And so we

                      really

Have no excuse not

      to acknowledge

Our common divinity

In trying to hedge

Against bad behavior

In the roles that we play

                     constantly

                            over

                     and over.

                     And yet

                     no more.

Our circumstances are

                     that we

Need now to recognize - 

                    re-cognize - 

               that We

          are One

  to save ourselves 

                  from

          the Other

                      before

    it’s too late

    in the Light

    of this New Day

                 dawning

For all humanity -

                    not just

                the Elite -

On this beleaguered planet,

                    calling

           for our best

             behavior

               Now

      in this particular

            moment

          of all Time.
