      On Voting

If you are going to have

Early Voting, then

It should only happen

For as long before it takes

For purple dye to wear off

That the Early Voter has had

                     their finger

                    dipped into.

          And the same for

Same-day voting;

                        and thus

           cutting out

           some traveling

                    between

    voting precincts

       to enhance

      one’s single

            vote.

    And mandatory

         photo ID.

             And

           the lot.

      To be caught

              at

      your childish

          games.

          Oh yes.

           If you

       are going to

   act like children

            then

     you should be 

          treated

      like children

          playing

             at 

        maturity.

       Or worse:

         a curse

            on 

         society.

May these Midterms 

             be

        honorable.
