'I Am Not My Body'

I have been reminded, while reading the latest offering from the guy who runs Golden Age of Gaia, Steve Beckow,(1) of a ‘message’ that I got many years ago.  

It was when I took a basic course in Psychosynthesis at the spiritual community where I lived for many years.  I particularly liked an exercise in it wherein one stands up and gets centered and then steps to one side and says: ‘I have a body.  But I am not my body,’ and then goes into some psychosynthesis babble.  And then returns to their central position, and then steps to the other side and says: ‘I have a mind.  But I am not my mind,’  ditto.  And then does the same thing regarding ‘emotions’.  And returns from there to their central position, and from there says something about being a ‘soul’ with such properties while being incarnate.  A good reminder. 

In my last blog I talked about how We Are All One - literally.  How We Are One Another.  And therefore, there is no Other.  Except for those who have chosen to renounce their divine inheritance, and try to ‘go it alone’.  Try to be gods - from their innate sense of being creators - before their training is completed.  That innate sense coming from their soul.  Not from their body; their form.

The form gets worn out from use and dies (depending on such factors as disease and its DNA structure/telomere length).(2)  That means that the form itself is not the life force, only contains the life force.  Gives it focus, and expression.  Coherence.  Em-body-ment.  And thus is rightfully referred to sometimes as a ‘vessel,’ or a ‘vehicle’.

How can we believe this?

Come on, folks.  With all of the out-of-body experiences that have been reported, and confirmed, in various ways?  And books and articles and studies that have confirmed the phenomenon of reincarnation??  Only a dishonest person can deny that there is more to the human than its body/mind/emotions complex.  

We have an important future on this planet - and beyond - lined up for us.  Time to get to it.

In the right way.

We really have had enough of the wrong way by now.  Wouldn’t you say??
