I Am Offended

I am offended by stuff every day.  I am offended by all the pain and hunger and anguish going on in this country and the world.  And by all the lying and cheating and thieving and killing going on.  And one thing in particular that I am offended by, and unhappy with, is the NWO crowd, including its cannon-fodder useful idiots, trying to airbrush out the history of this country, as part of that crowd’s plan to take it down, and establish their totalitarian Order on the planet.

It is a very telling history.  From some slavery to equal opportunity for all. That is a story worth noting, including all that it took to get here.  The tactical ‘offense’ of social justice warriors going on over this, that ’n the other thing these days makes me want, if not to puke, at the least to say:

‘Oh, puh-leeze.’

Take the Betsy Ross flag business.(1)  What in hell is Nike doing caving in to such nonsense?  If they thought they were going to lose some business to Colin Quarterback and his sjw crowd, that was a very poor managerial decision.  I hope that Nike loses substantial market share to their competitors for their pusillanimous call.  And the tweeted quote of Frederick Douglass, which it turns out was part of a larger, more ameliorative quote from before the Civil War?  You know - that little detail of an event that seems to have missed the notice of some - most - of the social justice warriors??

I know that our public education has fallen on hard times; but has it fallen that far???

And then there’s the even more recent business of the sjw’s dissing of Kate Smith, and the toppling of her memorial as well.  Further along the lines of an inconvenient truth - kind of like as well the photos of the kids of illegal aliens in cages that it turns out were taken under the (illegal) regime of BHO - there is this quote from Kate during a tv show in 1945:

“Race hatreds — social prejudices — religious bigotry — they are the disease that eat away the fibers of peace.  Unless they are exterminated it’s inevitable that we will have another war.  And where are they going to be exterminated?  At a conference table in Geneva?  Not by a long shot.  In your own city — your church — your children’s school — perhaps in your own home…You and I must do it — every father and mother in the world, every teacher, everyone who can rightfully call himself a human being.”(2)

Maybe our current batch of sjw’s can fault her for being a sexist.  But in 1945???……

In any event; and as I say:

Puh-leeze.

(1) Who, it so happens to turn out, as a Quaker was quite against slavery even back at the time of the War of Independence.  Nearly a full century before the Civil War.
   Talk about an inconvenient truth…

(2) As quoted in an article in the current issue of The New American magazine, on this Kate Smith contretemps.
