So Long, It's Been Good To Know You

Before Ted Cruz departs the scene too far, a comment.

I am reminded of the video clip where, at one of his later campaign rallies, Ted is asked, by a young fellow, about his having been born in Canada.  While he was going into his waffling act in response, one of his male followers yelled out from the audience, “Better having been born in Canada than Kenya!”  And it got a laugh.

Not silence.  A laugh.  Showing how far the rot has set in.

If there had been a stunned silence, it could have been put down to the Emperor’s New Clothes syndrome, and some degree of innocence.  But a laugh indicates that

they know.  What they are doing.

It is a deliberate attempt to ‘make two wrongs make a right’.

To get even.

Consciously.  Ripping the Constitution to shreds.  Or perhaps just driving a coach and horses through the rend in it - from Obama’s ineligible ascent to the throne of power in this country - just a little bit more.

Like being just a little bit pregnant.

And so much for the rule of law - the Constitution - in this country.

Oh, I know ‘the drill’.  ‘Come on, fella.  We all know that the Constitution is for kids in Middle School Civics class.  That in the real, adult world, it is all just a game.  That goes to the party most in power.  The Supreme Court?  It all depends on who’s most in power.  Right?’

Wrong.

But not so’s you’d know.  Any more.

So long, it’s been good to know you.

My country.

P.S. Oh - and just what was that business all about regarding Ted Cruz’s father and the (faux) Fair Play For Cuba Committee?  And his perhaps being sent off to Canada to live there, purportedly by his employer, Bush Sr.’ s oil company, to get him out of the country before investigators into the JFK assassination plot got too close for comfort to the plotters??  And how both Rafael (Ted) Cruz Jr. and his wife, Heidi, both worked for the Bush Family???  With a Bush Crime Family member sitting on his election steering committee/fundraising team (who made out like the bandit he was in the S&L scandal of the late '80s, set up by his Daddy Warbucks)????  And just as an aside, how Heidi also worked not only for the CFR but for Goldman Sachs, a pre-eminent Insider outfit, trying to rope this country into the totalitarian New World Order planned for it by this self-same crowd of criminals?????
     Just asking.

...and some other aspects to and on the collapse of the country; specifically, the ability, or lack thereof, to read English with comprehension (where 'close enough is good enough' is the mantra of the political and cultural hijackers):

(Conservatives pumped?  About Newt Gingrich??  I don’t think so, John…)

..

I think if him and Cruz could make up and play nice then the votes would come rolling in and Hillary would not stand a chance. It would also be a fine example for the rest of the Republicans to get past all the primary junk and move forward to the real goal.

Cruz is not eligible for the VP slot either, ever since the 12th Amendment.

Or is nobody else bothering even to look at, let alone go by, the Constitution these days??

"The fight to defend the Constitution"? Cruz?? He needs to learn to read plain English first.

"The natives, or natural born citizens, are those born in the country, of parents who are citizens..." (E. de Vattel, 'The Law of Nations,' Book One, Ch. XIX, Sect. 212)

But then, he WAS educated in the law at a liberal law school...where they obviously believe that the rule of men trumps the rule of law.

And I use the word 'trumps' with intended irony.

Wills, you must have a lot to loose if Trump wins!

Loose would be like, "My shoe lace is loose." "Did you lose your shoe?" "Yes, probably because my shoelace was loose". Understand the difference?

Troy Abernathy It's nice to know that you are perfect. What I don't understand is why you are still here on the earth if you are so perfect shouldn't you have been hung on a cross also. I get so tired of people that have to point out every spelling error. Give it a break and get a life

'Louise Watts: If it weren't so common, you might have a point. But it's pathetic. Within the last couple of days alone - and on conservative comments threads, no less - I have seen: "common scents..." "witch I left..." "have no nollage of..." "someone phropized" (that last one was obviously meant to be 'prophesied').

I accept that it is basically the fault of an educational system that is in the hands of liberals, who obviously believe that 'It doesn't matter how you spell it; don't let your creativity be stifled by such little details'. And that goes as well, then, for the "little details" of, say, the Constitution's meaning of its terms, where we should give way to the liberal 'creativity' of considering it as 'a living document'. Where anything goes; and where "Words mean what I say they mean," to quote Humpty Dumpty. Who, in the end, had a great fall, granted. But we conservatives should not have let the rot in our country go as far as it has, where that fall is only speculative. Not assured.

-

And may be ours, in the end.  Not theirs.  The rot in this country - politically, culturally, morally - being so great.
