Further Food For Thought In & For Our Times

Some readers may find this email exchange that I have been having with an old friend interesting, and helpful in their own 'takes' on Things In Our Times.  At least that is the spirit in which I offer it.

Thanks for the long and considered reply.
"I'm not sure just why John makes so much of the Nag Hammadi scrolls, and the Gnostic 'thing'."
It's shamanic. John [Lamb Lash] is a modern day shaman, so he has a foot in that same mystical world that the early gnostics described. ALL cultures started off as shamanic cultures with the priest class dispensing wisdom and guidance based on personal experience—almost always acquired from the ingestion of psychoactive, entheogenic plants or from induced psychic trance or both. ALL cultures therefore knew the earth was flat (for example) because that's what they *saw* from a vantage point *way* beyond politics, personal or concensus opinions, the rational mind—or even time!

I really believe that the outer world is where we dream and the inner is where we wake up. John Lash (and others) is right about the (Archontic or not) creation of an artificial, technological reality that is seducing most of Western humanity away from its natural home…

My own experiences tell me that *everything* we have been told is a lie; that we do not live on a spinning ball; that consciousness itself is starting to disintegrate, and that we need to find an inner identity and strength to cope with whatever reality is left after the monumental deception collapses.

As Morpheus says: "..most people are not ready to be unplugged." Trouble is, most people are going to be unplugged, ready or not.

And I am *not* going to be one of them.

Fair enough points.

The way I look at it all is that yes, our current reality is going to end, because we have been involved in a Drama - for spiritual growth purposes, not just to titillate an evil demiurge - and we have come to a natural End Point, things having gone global, now.  The natural 'time' of the Drama being over; as we awaken from the 'dream world' that we have been in, and throw off the likes of the interest-bearing money system that we have been fastened down with, and go for 'the heavens' - the high reaches of both our incarnate state (matter - mater - Mother; the feminine, 'movement' aspect of our Creator Source) and of our spiritual state, as 'spiritual beings having a human experience' ([Teilhard] de Chardin's expression, I think it was).  So, you could well be right, about how our forebears were into connecting with the 'larger reality' through Nature's means.  We poor dumb incarnates being given some help along The Way, by The Feminine aspect of our larger nature.  Nature being so full of excellent stuff for our well-being (nutritional substances, and all that).  And in which we have lost our way, to some serious extent; like in brambles of our own making.  Trying to make our way through the Maze - the Puzzle - strictly on our own steam.  Instead of tuning in, to 'the still small voice within'.  Eileen having her finger on some of that good stuff: Insights along The Way.

What a shame, how we take Nature so for granted; as though it were an inert backdrop to 'the real thing,'  i.e. our little human best-laid plans.  I was contemplating bees just recently.  How imaginative: the bee goes for the nectar in the flowers, and, rubbing against its pollen, carries some of it [on its legs] along with it on its merry way through the countryside, in the course of which meanderings it pollinates other flowering bushes and trees.  Ingenious.  Which, of course, connotes a Mind behind it all...

...but I digress.  Just to conclude: Methinks we have not been just the pawns (and food) of evil critters.  Methinks that our Creator Source has just outsmarted them all.  And used the Dark side to enhance the Light side, from the experience, of walking on the Wild Side.

To say: Enhancing Itself, from the experiences.  And thus, each of us facets as well, in & with that process.  Since we are part of that Whole.  'Any man's death diminishes me,' as the poet observed.  (John Donne, that is.)

And thus, why things are of such a chaotic nature, and so much is 'up'; in play.  The butterfly is about to emerge from the soup.

Or so let's hope.

(Explanations:

* 'Eileen' being one of the founders of the Findhorn Community, where I lived for many years, and whom my 'pen pal' knows about.  Known particularly for her constant advice to 'go within' for our answers.

* The 'John Donne' reference: His Meditation XVII.  The famous 'For Whom the Bell Tolls' Meditation.  A particular favorite of mine.  Not just for that part of his Meditation.  But for an earlier part of it.  Where he comments:

'The bell doth tolls for him that thinks it doth; and though it intermit again, yet from that minute that that occasion wrought upon him, he is united to God.'

That 'moment' happened for me in a 'spiritual experience' during my third year in university.  Which occasioned me to drop out of my formal education and go out into the larger world to find out what this business of Life was all about.

And that has made all the difference.  For me.

And I wish the same sort of experience for you, dear Reader.

And just because it feels relevant, I am appending here the latest (today, now) from the 'Intenders of the Highest Good' folks:

The Vision Alignment Project
A Vision for the Magnificent Gifts
We Receive Daily from Creator
The following Vision came in last month from Lynne Newman whose words are so poetic and touching that we are honored to share them with you. Thanks so much, Lynne.

I see a world where the wonders, signs and gifts given us when we most need them are seen and recognized and these gifts from our Creator are taken deep within our hearts and spirits to give us hope, courage, inspiration and a reminder that we are always heard and cherished.

I feel a world where these powerful reminders open our hearts and remind us of our interconnectedness to a higher source...to each other....to all life. I envision the breathtaking beauty of our auras glowing with rainbow light as the divine within each of us recognizes and honors the divine within others. I envision a world of such love that we see one another's beauty and delight in the sharing of our gifts. The diamond-like, radiant core of our beings becomes brighter, still, as we openly witness the awakening, opening, and expanding of heart spaces throughout the Universe. Deep within my spirit I see and feel the utter joy of being in LOVE with life.

In gratitude, and much love,
Lynne Newman
