an article at One Channel/NBC News.com titled 'Exclusive: Justice Department memo reveals legal case for drone strikes on Americans' by Michael Isikoff* says:
1) "A confidential Justice Department memo concludes that the U.S. government can order the killing of American citizens if they are believed to be 'senior operational leaders' of al-Qaida or 'an associated force' [even if there is no intelligence indicating they are engaged in an active plot to attack the U.S.]." And such a definition of 'legal' targets is further 'clarified' in the same article, just a couple of paragraphs down, with this statement:
2) "In a…talk at the Northwestern University Law School in March, Attorney General Eric Holder specifically endorsed the constitutionality of targeted killings of Americans, saying they could be justified if government officials determine the target poses 'an imminent threat of violent attack.' " And the article then goes on to morph the definition, of a 'legal' 'terrorist', even further; quoting the referenced memo thusly:
3) "The condition that an operational leader present an 'imminent' threat of violent attack against the United States does not require the United States to have clear evidence that a specific attack on U.S. persons and interests will take place in the immediate future."
Excuse me? Did I just hear the Obama administration declare war on the American people?? At least those Americans who might wish to stand in the way of that administration's hijacking of the American Republic, in furtherance of those miscreants' Marxist intentions???
I'd like to get this straight. First this killer drone business was all about just tracking down 'senior operational leaders' of al-Qaida in the Middle East (whose names are on a kill list run by the president; objectionable enough of a 'policy'). And then it somehow got extended to the16-year-old son of such a suspected person - neither of whom had ever committed any actionable crime. But, of course, the 16-year-old son might be well suspected of doing some such, in the future…
…and then we have surveillance drones over America. All over America. Keeping an eye on…things.
And then…
And then……
It really doesn't need a clairvoyant to tell where this is all heading.
It is all heading to civil war.
Which the Obama administration is obviously quietly - slowly, slowly - gearing up for. With such other moves as gun control; and stockpiling massive amounts of ammunition (of the most expensive, and lethal, kind; so this is not just for target practice). And so forth……
You should come and get me now, Eric. Because I am a prime suspect, in your War on Terror. And if left alone, I might well turn into one of your 'terrorist' 'legalized' targets (legalized by the application of sophistry).
You see, I believe in the American Republic, as it is. With warts and all. But with Constitution and all. And you lot are taking the federal government far beyond its lawful boundaries; in many ways. And so, I oppose you.
This is not to say that a lot that the United States has been engaged in in recent years is not worthy of opposing; which the Left did, in the no-win war in Vietnam, e.g. (championed by the fascist element of the New World Order crowd). But to think to take over the republic, and turn it into a socialist dictatorship, is hardly an improvement on what we have now.
I am aware that many on the Left feel that things can't change here fast enough for them; that they feel that the Constitution is a major stumbling block in the way to their socialist utopia, with its championing of group rights over individual rights and therefore of 'the greatest good for the greatest number'. But a short word to this little situation.
The American Republic and its Constitution were constructed to last, in the championing of the individual over the subject, with his immortal soul and therefore his individual growth, and responsibility. The Constitution has a built-in amending process to allow for changes in changing socio-political circumstances, within the terms of the contract. It is not an easy process; nor should it be, for a governing compact between The People's congressional representatives in the federal government of the republic and the several States; so that any changes are not made 'for light and transient reasons', as one of the Founders put it. That is the way it has been; and as I say, the way it should be, for such an enterprise, built for the ages.
We have now come to the end of a major Age - a major astro-theological Age. It is altogether fitting and proper that we look at where we are at, and where we go from here, in a fundamental, housecleaning way. And I assure one and all, that the best way - the highest way - from here, is not back into the gutter, of petty 'politics'; petty material-level ideologies; wherein and whereby we hone ourselves, in learning to look at matters from all sides. But the way of the Individual, making its soul-level way back to its Creator, and thus to its true Home.
The stronger for the experience - the experiences - of seeming separation. But not to get stuck in the process.
For life, as we have known it - over and over again in the material matrix of 3D consciousness - is just that. A process.
The real thing is awaiting us; to get to it, now.
And I mean, like, Now.
Just on the other side of the construct, the field of consciousness, that we inhabit now.
And to get to it, we need to let go of our ambitions for Power Over. And engage in Power With.
To say: engage, not in Force.
But in Love.
And that makes all the difference.
And is what makes all the difference.
So, let go, of your best-laid plans, boys and girls.
And let God.
Or suffer the consequences, of your individual, AND group, actions.
