The Art Of Illusion

I have realized that I shouldn't have been all that surprised that the American people as a whole have bought a pig in a poke for their president the last two such elections.  After all, Edward L. Bernays, the so-called father of public relations (read, in fact, propaganda) perfected the art of illusion a long time ago; had been plying his form of mind control for years - and the American public bought it, hook, line and sinker.

Consider cigarettes.  I recall growing up as a youngster in post-WWII America (southern California, to be exact; before it took on an identity all of its own, as Southern California.  Speaking of identities) and seeing ads, first in the newspapers and magazines and later on TV, making the claim to said public that 'More Doctors Smoke Chesterfields than Any Other Cigarette'.  It must have ben true; a doctor said it.  Or at least, a man in a doctor's white coat said it...

I obviously hadn't cottoned on to that potential manipulation of reality by the time an ad came out on early TV for fluoridation of the water, and toothpaste.  A man - obviously a doctor; perhaps just a scientist - took the viewing public through a blackboard lesson in how fluoride = strong teeth, or some such graphic display of 'truth'.  I was a little older by then, and a little more aware of the amorphous 'they' by then, because as I recall, I mused: Why would they lie about something like that???

It took some years more before I found out.

And about various additives in our canned and refrigerated food.  And.  And.  And......

And that it was the oil companies buying up the electric trolley business in L.A. that caused them to disappear from the streets of L.A. and its surroundings suburbs.  (I remember letting my mom's car be 'guided' downtown by steering it onto the embedded trolley rails that were no longer used.)1  And.  And.  And...

I won't belabor the point.  We have been subjected for years to the art of misrepresentation. Mostly for the almighty dollar.  But also for purely political reasons.

And so it has been with Obama.  Now, I'm not saying that other presidents haven't been elected without a certain amount of legerdemain.  But this case has been so blatantly fraudulent that we have had our noses rubbed in it.

Both of the main political parties tried a total of 8 times between 2003 and 2008 to get an amendment to the Constitution going through Congress to do away with the (intentionally-set) high-bar requirement for a candidate for the presidential office to be "a natural born Citizen", rather than just a native born, or naturalized, citizen.  What did that mean?  I got a lesson in history when I started looking into the matter.2

My interest took me to a couple of sites in particular, where the attorneys involved (Leo Donofrio and Mario Apuzzo) had researched the matter down to a book called The Law of Nations, by one Emerich de Vattell; which book the constitution's Framers were familiar with (particularly through the likes of Benjamin Franklin), and which spoke of a 'natural born' citizen being one born jus soli - of the soil - and jus sanguinis - of the blood, i.e., of two citizen parents.  Why the requirement for that particular federal office (and that office ONLY)??  Because they didn't want the person, who would also be the Commander in Chief of the armed forces of the new republic, to have dual loyalties or allegiances.

This intention was signaled as well by two other key factors:

1 In a private letter to G. Washington, president of the Continental Convention and overseeing the proceedings, the man who was destined to become the first Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the new republic, John Jay, brought to the attention of the man who was destined to become the first President of the new republic the value of that particular requirement to be built into the compact of the new nation that they were involved in constructing.   And

2 In his first draft of working on such constitutional matters, Alexander Hamilton proposed that the president of the new republic needed to be merely a citizen.  His proposal was rejected.

(Another key matter in this whole business, of what the Framers were going by in their deliberations, was provided us in our time when I came across a statement by George Mason, one of the key delegates to the Convention (from one of the key States, that of Virginia), who pointed out in a debate once that the fledgling Americans did not go by English common law, rather by American common law, or 'the law of nations'/Natural Law.  They would be damned if they would go by English common law, which spoke of 'subjects', after having fought a War of Independence from that sort of relationship to their own governing body or bodies, as, now, Freemen.  I mention this because some apologists for Obama have tried to claim that he is legal/was eligible under English common law.  They just don't understand the spirit of independence that the Founders and Framers were operating under - independence from the old and architects of the New; for all humanity to benefit by.)3

Anyway - not to go into all this in too great a detail here.  Just, here, to say that some people are trying to play 'public relations' games, make falsehood trump truth.

And I for one won't have it.

Having learned, by now, to look for the man behind the curtain, orchestrating things going on on stage.

Obama is an eligible president?

Pull the other one.

I dare you.

And know, that in the space that humanity - all of Humanity - is heading, as we speak, there is no room for such qualities as lying.  And cheating.  And deceit of any kind.

Such base qualities are not permitted in the higher realms.

Nay.  They simply can't exist there.  Or their applicators wouldn't even be there.

Where are you going to be, Citizen??  (Natural born, or otherwise.)

Found.  Or found wanting???

If the latter; a word of warning:

Don't drink the Kool-Aid.

It has fluoride in it.

And thus is closing you off from your higher Self.

And believe me: You don't really want to stay stuck on the level that you currently inhabit.

There is so much more to aspire to.

Than living a life of deception.

Of deceiving others.

And being deceived yourself.

By masters of the art.  Who have far more experience in the matter than you do.  And so are manipulating you as well.  To do their dirty work.

As Masters of the Dark.  To say:

From behind the screen, of Life.

1 But coming back to live in my old hometown, after over 35 years as an ex-pat, I was pleasantly surprised to see that such rail cars have come back into being, between L.B. and the surrounding
'Metro' area.  Well done, folks.  Not an easy industry to win out over.
     Unless they have just diversified.
     Like the cigarette manufacturers have...

2 Over in the UK, I came a little late to the developing brouhaha over the matter in the States.  So I got my lesson in the matter from the Internet.  The matter of the conflict, and of the definition of an NBC.
A wonderful tool, the Internet.  You've heard the old rhyme, 'A wonderful bird is the pelican/ His beak can hold more than his belly can '?  The Internet can hold more than the truth of things.  But it is a wonderful tool nevertheless.  The amorphous 'they' can no longer control the public's source of information.  Schooling, books, TV can be controlled.  But not 'the People's encyclopedia'.
Oh - hang on.  I understand that the Obama camp is looking into that little matter right now...
