A Speck Of Stellar Dust - II

(Said sardonically)

..

"Taking the flag down" is part of a larger agenda, ultimately to do away with free speech altogether, and allow only 'correct' speech. Specifically, it’s a part of a move to outlaw 'hate speech,' identified as anything that 'offends' the Left. Can't speak against same-sex marriage: hate speech. Can't speak against the LGBT+ 'movement' in any way, shape or form: hate speech. Can't speak in revisionism of the Holocaust: hate speech. Can't speak against the Dear Leader: hate speech. Can't speak against mandatory vaccinations, or climate change: because the prevailing mentality says so.

It's been coming for a while. It was what was behind the shelving of phonics - when children could learn to read by themselves - and the enthronement of the 'whole word' method, where only prescribed 'whole words' would be allowed into their vocabulary, and proscribed words, by definition, deleted; and therefore the activity associated with it eliminated from the social construct, you see. As someone put it: 'He who controls the language controls the argument.' It's a form of mind control. A/k/a slavery.

The liberals are big on its application. But don't be confused by political labels, of 'the Left' and 'the Right'. Many people on the so-called Right are on the side of the statist New World Order; whereby they want, and mean, to make of the whole world one big gulag. Coming to a community near you.  [I should have said: 'Coming to a theatre of operations near you.']

I'm not sure I want to continue commenting on the ridiculous aspects of The Passing Scene.  I probably will do so.  But I am getting so disgusted with it all.

Whatever happened to the notion of our being sovereign entities in our own right?

And then there's the Pope, who recently said some good things in a speech in South America, about taking responsibility for our environment including each other; but who also said in it:

"Many people are hoping for a change capable of releasing them from the bondage of individualism..."

What?!

With all due respect, Pope Francis: That's code for communism.  'Liberation theology.'  Which is a nonsense.  You don't fight capitalism, and its excesses, with communism, and its inevitable excesses.  Because that is all still on the same level as the problem.

The problem, of humanity having lost its way, in a post-religious world, without finding its way to a spiritually-driven world.  The baby being thrown out with the bathwater.

But there I go again.........
