Fixing The World

Watching the first of the 3 'Fixing the World' videos (great project, HopeGirl & FTW team; well done), I was inspired to post here ideas I have had for a long time about a New Age (really: the New Earth) Theme Park in the vicinity of the spiritual community & ecovillage, The Findhorn Foundation and Community, in the north of Scotland.  The idea never caught fire amongst the few people that I ran the idea by many years ago up there, primarily because of the three main important factors for a home or a business: location, location, and location.  One key fellow said that it was "too far north; you should think for a Hawaii site for such a project."  I happened to disagree, for a number of reasons:

* It had value in being positioned near a 'New Age spiritual community,' where the Park goers could visit to see 'the New Age' in action: people motivated to do things/live their daily lives by the idea/mentality that Work is Love in Action ('reflecting Spirit into Matter'), not for the money, and two, to see a real-life ecovillage, and the factors that make a human settlement such an enterprise.

* Also, that part of Scotland has a lot going for it, for family vacationers: golfing; dolphin watching in the adjacent Moray Firth; the so-called Whisky Trail (the area being the home of many Scotch whisky distilleries); hill climbing (many Munros in the area to bag for the really enterprising hillwalker); and of course, world-famed Nessie of Loch Ness nearby.  I also envisioned, for the family: hot air balloon rides (it's a very picturesque area, with the sea/Firth, heather-covered mountains, colorful fields/pastoral countryside alongside city life); water skiing (in a part of the Firth away from the dolphin watching); pony trekking; and so forth.

* And as for the 'far north' factor: the Park could be enclosed in the dead of winter.  No problem, these technologicaly-advanced days (plus there are a couple of major ski resorts in the general area for that season's further enjoyment anyway).  And

* As well, there is a ready-made airport right there; with the former NATO base of Kinloss AFB having closed, and the base only used now for housing soldiers returning from duty in Europe.  (All of which will change shortly as well.)

Anyway; to the Park itself, as a theme For Our Times: I envisioned such as:

* racing and/or bumper cars powered by water, or other free energy devices;

* electro-gravitic vehicle rides (not too far up in the air, for the kiddies; with trained pilots);

* an at-least two-story slide for kids built on the DNA double-helix template, with demos at the 'incarnation' landing level about a) the DNA's relationship with the I-Ching and 'sacred numbers', and b) genes and chromosomes, and the whole thing about how our life works on this human, and its microscopic, level.  And speaking of demos on how things work:

* A demo on how one can make a frog egg turn rather into a salamander by shining light on it (in a certain, insightful way);

* And another one on how a vortex storm/field can 'gelatinize'/dissociate the space-time of our (illusory) reality to the point where a straw can be embedded like an arrow in a (seemingly) solid object.  And so forth, in the intriguing 'new science' field;

* Past Life Readers and Therapists for consultations;

* a full-size Permaculture farm, complete with guided tours and info, about how things work together; and speaking of things working together:

* Other demos on the eco-biology of the planet, and how it all works in harmony and unison, if allowed to;

* Speakers on interesting subjects;

* New Age entertainers;

...anyway: You get the idea.

And the money for it?

In those early days of my brainstorming, I envisioned that a) we would use a local currency scrip, that the Theme Parkgoers could also use in the Foundation's excellent book & craft & whole foods store and the nearby fishing village of Findhorn (some great pubs, and little shops) and the further nearby town of Forres; and b) the financing for the Park itself would come from a combination of spiritual community/New Age investors and Ethical Investment Bank support on the one hand, and support from the Scottish Tourist Board on the other.  (There was precedent for this idea: the STB helped the Foundation finish off its beautiful and architecturally-distinct performing arts venue - the Universal Hall - because it is a performing arts site for the Scottish public in general; where all manner of events are held, from plays to classical and rock concerts to lectures to you-name-it.)  And now?

I see this sort of thing as possibly springing up all over the world, each with its own flavor and 'inspiration', as we - to say, Humanity - move out of the era of money - more properly, of interest-bearing money (and its training-wheels companion, fractional-reserve banking) - and into a more holistic way of sharing goods and services with one another, as citizens (really, spiritual beings having a human experience; prior to Ascension to a higher dimension, of consciousness) imbued with the spirit of One Planet - One Humanity - One Destiny.

For I am, and many of us are, here to build the New World.  Not put band-aids on the Old one.

Which has reached its use-by date, now.  And the world will now hunger for more of the Change.  Not more of the same old, same old, that has afflicted suffering Humanity for long enough a period of space-time.

So, start coming up with your own ideas, of how to reflect the Change into our daily lives.  Knowing, too, that

the sky is no longer the limit.
