Well; back to it.
In my blog of a couple of days ago I talked about 'essential liberty' as a basic, fundamental principle of life in America. But Nanny State authoritarians are taking over; and I am not amused, as it were.
Take this story, from one of the sources of info that I receive mailings from:
"Master Sergeant Nathan Sommers is a decorated soldier in the U.S. Army with over 25 years of service to his country. His record was spotless, until the Obama Administration began to crack down on free thought.
"Despite a perfect record over his 25 years of service, he was recently found guilty of Article 15 charges which accused him of failure to follow orders.
"What were these charges?
"Well, Nathan does not think Barack Obama is a very good President. He doesn't go on duty and talk about it though, he does what folks like you and I do. He put a bumper sticker on tie back of his personal vehicle that read 'NOPE 2012'.
"That was strike 1.
"His superior officer told him that the bumper stickers were creating 'unnecessary workplace tension,' and Nathan was told to remove the stickers."
(I really have to interject here. I can see where this is going; and I have to say: Excuse me? This is an unacceptable and flimsy excuse for draconian treatment. But to continue.)
"Nathan's unit has a tradition. When one of them is promoted, they will buy dinner for their fellow service members, and Nathan was no exception when he was promoted to Master Sergeant. He paid for the meal out of his own pocket.
"Nathan purchased Chik-Fil-A, which fell into the crosshairs of liberals everywhere last year when an executive mentioned his support for traditional marriage.
"That was strike 2."
(I have heard about this business. I'm rather disgusted by it. Yes, people have a right to mount boycotts of businesses they don't approve of, for whatever reasons. But this is a pluralistic society; we have a lot of issues that we enter into debate on. Not being willing to debate issues, but rather try to impose yourself in a way to keep your 'debatee' silenced, is unacceptable behavior, in a truly free country. But, again, to continue.)
"And the let straw that broke the camel's back? Nathan was caught reading a book by David Limbauch, then a second book by Mark Levin!
"Strike 3!"
(What??! WTF???)
"Nathan was instructed not to let anyone in his unit ever see him reading these books, and later was rung up on Article 15 charges, which are penalties for 'breaches of standards governing the routine functioning of society'.
"Ridiculous."
(Agreed.)
"This arbitrary harassment and suppression of thought cannot go unchallenged.."
Agreed.
It's the same with all these 'Human Rights Acts' being put in place in states around the country, which, e.g., force Christian or simply conservative B&B owners/operators to have to have people whom they do not, because of the B&B operators' religious beliefs or personal principles, wish to stay in their homes. And so forth; in the culture war going on in our day. These leftist Acts are a perfect example of 'good intentions gone awry,' violate U.S. citizens' basic right to be left alone by the state as far as possible; which is the whole thrust of the American experiment in self-governance, and individual, not collective, rights.
In my America, there can be cafes and restaurants for: whites only; blacks only; LBGT only; females only, males only; Protestants, Catholics, Jews, Hindus, atheists only; Japanese, Vietnamese, Korean, German, Lithuanian only - i.e., the basic human right of free association. Busybodies and totalitarians trying to make the populace conform to their state-heavy way of thinking and being need not apply.
What next on the path these Brownshirts are heading us on? No discrimination against fatties? Baldies??…What arrant nonsense.
Get out of my face, you authoritarians on the way to becoming full-fledged totalitarians.
It's no wonder that Saul Alinsky dedicated his handbook 'Rules for Radicals' to Lucifer: his whole approach to life is not to try to defeat your opponent in the realm of ideas in debate. It is to impose your will on him. Make him or her do what you want them to do. Give no quarter.
"Alinsky's attitude: 'In a fight almost anything goes. It almost reaches the point where you stop to apologize if a chance blow lands above the belt."
Alinsky's attitude is not America's attitude.
Or at least, it didn't used to be.
But that was before the Left - Lucifer's legions - started playing hardball. In the deliberate creation of class warfare, and welfare classes, to accomplish their end, of a socialist system.
The Cloward-Piven Strategy, to bankrupt the nation with welfare 'entitlements'. To include however many 'classes' of people they could muster in that category. And thus the creation of the Single Parent (read Mother) class. And then, to enlist the youth - after years of softening-up barrages on the educational front of the battle - the 'Education is a Right' brigade. And a really clever one: the LGBT battalion.* And just so, is the nation falling into their hands. Like an overripe fruit…
Well. Not if I can help it. And millions like me; playing the role of Patriots. In this Play, acting out the major themes of life - of the life classroom. And in the main:
acting out Power Over, on the one, Dark side hand. Or Power From Within, on the side of the Author.
Being a disciple, either of the Dark side, and its use - its championing - of Force.
Or a disciple of the Light side, and its use - its championing - of, in a word, Love.
Or in a couple of more words:
the path of free will.
To conclude:
Something is terribly wrong in my country. The spirit of it, as a beacon of light and freedom for the world, exampling a better way of being than under the thumb of an oppressive state, has been dampened, hijacked, and transmogrified into a police state mentality. A surveillance society on steroids.
I want it reset to its original intent.
So, out with this bunch of hijackers that have taken it over.
And, like, now.
You will NOT have your Way.
This is God's country.
Deal with it.

* With the role of the fascists behind that one cleverly kept from being seen behind the curtain. Which would give away the fact that it is a pyramid of power that is going on, with the same nest of vipers at the top. The New World Order to be, not purely a socialist one. But a combination of both fascism and socialism; with the same elite cadre running the show. As in Red China.
