Speaking of Mothers - Mater - Matter & Distortions Thereof & Therein

I am terribly disappointed in Ted. He is a better constitutional scholar than that. He is buying the Republican Party officials' advice that they can stonewall such questions regarding his non-eligibility, because they joined with their Democrat Party counterparts - apparently successfully, they think - in slipping Obama's non-eligibility by the American people. Disgusting stuff, by both parties - and the MSM.

The historical record is clear: the definition of a 'natural born' citizen - as opposed to any other kind of citizen - as appearing in the Constitution for the office of the presidency - and that federal office ONLY, which is the tipoff as to its original (and still, legally) meaning - is one born on the soil (jus soli; of the soil) of citizen parents (jus sanguinis; of the blood). That's PLURAL. As in BOTH parents. That's what makes it 'natural': NO OTHER CONSIDERATIONS. SOLE ALLEGIANCE. And this is PROVEN as to what was the intention of the constitutional Framers in putting that particular eligibility requirement in their contract for that particular office - whose occupant would as well then become the Commander in Chief of the nation's military forces; the salient factor here as to its particularity - is the fact that Alexander Hamilton, in his role as a delegate to the Constitutional Convention proceedings, made a proposal that the president need only be a 'born citizen' - and his proposal was declined, in favor of the more stringent NBC requirement, of NO DUAL OR OTHERWISE CONFLICTING LOYALTIES OR ALLEGIANCES OR INFLUENCES.

The Framers were going by the definitive tome of the day on such subjects, E. de Vattel's 'The Law of Nations, Or Principles of Natural Law'. Cruz's advisors are having him talk about the wording of a Naturalization Act of 1790 (which actually was struck down by a succeeding such Act in 1795 anyway, incidentally). But - as Cruz would know, being the constitutional scholar that he is - original intent trumps Acts of Congress ANYWAY. The only way that the NBC requirement could be altered would be by a constitutional amendment. And guess what: both major political parties of our day tried a total of 8 times between them, between 2003 and '08, to get a constitutional amendment going through Congress including this very subject - and none of their proposals even made it out of committee, such was the sensitivity around this issue. So: THEY KNEW.

And chose to try - with their control between them of the judicial branch and the MSM - to just slip it by the American people instead. Well, guess what, boyos: It ain't going to work. 1) Two wrongs do NOT make a right. 2) Not only is Cruz (and Rubio too, for that matter) going to go down. And Obama. But both of you, too. For obviously having colluded in this attempt to trash the Constitution.

As if we didn't learn anything from the mistake over Obama's illegal candidacy and occupancy. What are we, chopped liver to you people???

..

Have you seen his birth certificate? What this article doesn't mention is that Ted has a Canadian BC.

    • How is it that you don't understand that just being a citizen doesn't make one a 'natural born' citizen?? Ted is not a 'natural born' citizen, for not having been born a) on the soil, and b) of citizen parents. That's PLURAL. As in BOTH.

    • And the Truth WILL out. And that means that the Usurper in the office at present will go down. And all the legislation that he has signed into law, and all the E.O.'s and P. D.'s that he has issued, and all the appointments that he has made, will go with him. Into the trash bin. As if he never was. Except as a bad dream from his father.

  •          There are only two types of citizens recognized by the United States.
  •          Those who are citizens by birth (natural) and those who become
  •          citizens by naturalization.

  •          Nonsense. For one thing: How come Alexander Hamilton's proposal, that the president need only be a 'born citizen,' was turned down, in favor of the more stringent category of a 'natural born citizen'. As defined by the definitive tome of the day on the subject, E. de Vattel’s 'The Law of Nations, Or Principles of Natural Law': as one born on the soil of citizen parents. With NO DIVIDED LOYALTIES, ALLEGIANCES, OR INFLUENCES. SOLE ALLEGIANCE to the U.S.

  •          Don't get me angry.

    • Ok. But it mattered for Obama, that's all I'm saying. I get it, mom citizen Ted citizen, but is he a NBC? His citizenship is not in question.

      • Point, chris. And the answer is No, he is not a NBC. See my just-previous posting for details. [My original one,  at the top.]
