The Sermon For Today

    Is On The Likes Of

      Envy 

The bottom line: No one is 'entitled' as a matter of 'right' to the earnings of any other person.  Only in a socialist system would their exorbitant - and in some cases, even what could legitimately be considered to be extortionate - degrees of taxes be considered as resulting in 'entitlements' - payoffs in exchange for the citizenry's loyalty to the system.  In a free-enterprise system, a person is rightfully 'entitled' to the fruits of their labors; and a progressive system of taxation is, or at least should be, called by its rightful name: theft.  The state taking from the Haves and giving to the Have Nots.  And more and more, in a greedy 'redistribution of wealth' scenario - wherein there are free lunches, and a free education, to higher and higher grades thereof, and free or subsidized housing, and food stamps, less and less geared to means testing; until, on that spectrum, in a full-on communist system, everybody is forced by the state to have the same level of income, period.

So there will be no Envy, you see, in that ideal society.  If everybody is paid the same - meaning that everybody is perfectly equal - there is no more Greed and Envy in the human heart.  Right?

Wrong.  Nothing substantially has been changed that way, about the workings of the human heart.  The vices are still in there, just latent, is all.  Stifled.  Until circumstances allow them to come out.  Be expressed.

Until they have been dealt with constitutionally.

Which brings up my next point: the Constitution of the United States of America.  Which is for a free people.  Not a cowed, submissive people, submissive to - subject of - the state.  Individuals, standing on their own two feet.  And engaging in various virtues and vices, as they see fit to.  On their spiritual path in life.  That is to say, their growing path.

Until people who love power over other people seduce them into creating the likes of a welfare class.  A dependency class.  Which particularly happens when they seduce the people into breaking down the family unit.  Which stands in the way of the state becoming the parent of the people.  Running their lives to within an inch of their lives.  Telling them what they can do and what they cannot do.  What they can say and what they cannot say.  To each other.  And back to the state.

Their parent.    

Perpetually…

And how do they break down the family unit?  By giving the mothers goodies, that they could not
receive if the father was there.  Or fathers.  Makes no difference to the state.  Whatever keeps the dependents quiet.

And obedient.

Whatever works.  For the statists amongst us.  To say: Whatever creates more and more, and more, of an attitude of dependency on the state.  On them.  Until they have ensnared the people fully into their web of power, and control.

For that is what this is all about, really:  

Control.

Over The People.  The once proud and independent individuals, who were free to make something of themselves, in a once free country.  Where their individual rights were protected by the nation's Constitution.

The United States

of

America.

The last, best hope of, and for, mankind.

Now nearly gone.  With the wind, of Change.

From Liberty.  

To Equality.

Equally

Miserable.  As subjects of, and to, the state.


Throw off these demons amongst you.  You have nothing to lose but your chains.

And everything to gain.

Most essentially:

Your identity.  As a free and independent human being; standing on your own two feet.  And sharing, freely, with others.  On your terms.

Not those of the state.

And thereby, having the opportunity to cultivate

Virtue

And the various aspects thereof.

On your path to

Your true identity

As a child

of God.

Learning

Lessons

On

The Way

To

Becoming

Your own

Creator.

Object

No more.

But

Subject

And only

So to

Speak.

See, God
Doesn't want to know
What you do
              when
You have to.
                Our
           Creator
Wants to know
What you do
               when
                  you
            are free
                    to.
     A Word
To prospective
Undercutters
Of this notion:
     Don't peddle
                 your
Scheming wares
                 here.
                  This
                      is
My country.
           There are
                  other
            countries
                    you
Can move to
         if you want
             the state
To take care
                 of you.

Now, if there
Is no money
Involved, and thus
No theft, and we
Are talking about
        the kingdom
Of Heaven,
                    that's
            a different
                  matter
Entirely;
               one
In which we
Are all in this
Together
Equally.

So

Let's

Go

For it!
