(The above was in response to the article 'Deportation petition filed against Obama' carried on cdr Kerchner.wordpress.com; where I made the following comment:)
- I wish that Larry would make more of the basic fact that Obama was and is not a ‘natural born citizen’ of the U.S. because he did not have two U.S. citizen parents – period, and let all this business about ‘the birth certificate’ be secondary to that prime fact.
‘That prime fact': It couldn’t be otherwise, regarding the definition in the constitutional Framers’s minds on this issue. The whole POINT of the exercise was to make sure that the person in the presidential office – who would as well become the Commander-in-Chief of the nation’s military forces – did not have DUAL LOYALTIES OR ALLEGIANCES. Like a naturalized citizen. And like a dual citizen. Like Obama; who was born a dual-citizen BRITISH SUBJECT, of all things. PRECISELY the kind of person that the Framers didn’t want to give any chance of acceding to the presidency, after the fledgling nation’s hard-fought war of Independence from the Brits.
This is NOT rocket science.
