Stupid Is At Stupid Does

Further on how stupid we Homo sapiens sapiens have become:

from breitbart.com: ‘Exclusive - Kobach: It Appears That Out-Of-State Voters Changed The Outcome Of The New Hampshire U.S. Senate Race’ - Kris. W. Kobach - September 7
(Terrible, terrible stuff.  Well, let me let this public official - this honest public official; who is Secretary of State of Kansas, and an expert in immigration law and policy - tell this story:

For years, the mainstream media has ignored the problem of voter fraud and belittled those of us who are trying to do something about it. And when secretaries of state like me identify cases of fraud, we are told that the number of incidents of voter fraud is too insignificant to matter.

"Now, however, facts have come to light that indicate that a pivotal, close election was likely changed through voter fraud on November 8, 2016: New Hampshire’s U.S. Senate Seat, and perhaps also New Hampshire’s four electoral college votes in the presidential election.

"New Hampshire is one of fifteen states that allow same-day voter registration. The benefit of same-day registration is that it allows a person who has procrastinated or has forgotten to register to nonetheless cast a ballot on election day. The downside of same-day registration is that it does not allow the state time to assess the eligibility of the voter. A volunteer poll worker simply accepts a modicum of identification and takes the voter at his word that he’s a U.S. citizen resident of the state who is eligible to vote.

"New Hampshire is also a battleground state. Unlike neighboring Massachusetts and Vermont, which reliably vote for the Democrat in presidential elections, New Hampshire can swing either way. It has long been reported, anecdotally, that out-of-staters take advantage of New Hampshire’s same-day registration and head to the Granite State to cast fraudulent votes.

"Now there’s proof.

"According to statistics released by the Speaker of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, on the date of the general election in November 2016, there were 6,540 same-day registrants who registered to vote in New Hampshire using an out-of-state driver’s license to prove their identity. In and of itself, that doesn’t prove that any fraud occurred – theoretically, each of those individuals could have been someone who recently moved to the State and had not yet had time to get a New Hampshire driver’s license. According to New Hampshire law, a new resident has 60 days to obtain a New Hampshire driver’s license.

"So if those 6,540 voters were bona fide New Hampshire residents, they would get their driver’s license no later than January 7, 2017. However, the numbers tell a very different story. It turns out that, as of August 30, 2017 – nearly ten months after the election – only 1,014 of the 6,540 same-day registrants who registered with an out-of-state license had obtained a New Hampshire driver’s license. The other 5,526 individuals never obtained a New Hampshire driver’s license. And, of those 5,526, only 213 registered a vehicle in New Hampshire.

"So 5,313 of those voters neither obtained a New Hampshire driver’s license nor registered a vehicle in New Hampshire. They have not followed the legal requirements for residents regarding driver’s licenses, and it appears that they are not actually residing in New Hampshire. It seems that they never were bona fide residents of the State.

"5,513 is a big number – more than enough to swing two very important elections. The closest major election was the contest between incumbent Republican U.S. Senator Kelly Ayotte and challenger Maggie Hassan (D). Hassan won the election by a razor-thin margin of 1,017 votes. Those 5,313 fraudulent votes were more than enough to swing the election. If 59.2 percent or more of them went for Hassan, then the election was stolen through voter fraud. That’s likely, since the surrounding states are Democrat strongholds.

"It’s also possible that New Hampshire’s four electoral college votes were swung to Hillary Clinton through illegal voting by nonresidents. Clinton won New Hampshire by only 2,732 votes. If 74.8 percent of the 5,513 fraudulent votes were cast for Clinton, then the presidential election in New Hampshire was tipped as well.

"If the presidential contest had been closer and had come down to a margin of three or four electoral college votes, then this voter fraud might have had extraordinary consequences. Regardless, in the Senate contest, it is highly likely that voting by nonresidents changed the result.

"And that is already having consequences for the nation. If the 52-48 Republican-Democrat balance in the Senate were 53-47, it could change the balance in any number of votes – not the least of which would be the effort to repeal Obamacare.

"But the mainstream media will tell us, “Move along, there’s nothing to see here.” Voter fraud virtually never occurs.”

I gave up on the crooked voting scene in this country a long time ago. Disgusting stuff. It's beyond hopeless in my home state, of CA. They not only don't ask for any ID to vote, the precinct workers are even instructed NOT to ask for any. Another invite for illegal voters to come in to vote, as if the system didn't already provide enough of such an incentive. First, a Motor Voter law was passed, whereby everybody registering for a driver's license or renewing is automatically registered to vote; and then a law was passed even legally allowing Illegal aliens to apply for a driver's license. The message: 'Please go vote - and don't forget to vote Democrat.'

P.S. When I asked my county Voter Registrar's Office if they ever cleanse the voter reg rolls, I was told no. When I asked why not, I was told, quote: "Because people sign up on penalty of perjury." Oh, I see. I think. So, if you never check to see if anybody HAS signed up who isn't eligible to vote...

Which lack of cleansing is, in point of fact, against federal law. So, I'm holding my breath, until the federal govt. comes in to this state and arrests the secretary of state AND governor, for running an illegal enterprise; and seizes all the County Voter Reg Rolls, for additional evidence of a crime, as they systematically go through and vet every name against e-Verify.

Waiting. Waiting...

Wait. You claim that illegals can get drivers licenses, so they can register to vote. Usually, the remedy the conservatives have for this sort of thing is voter ID. That really wouldn't help, would it?

  • Not with a Driver's license per se. But this state also issues a photo ID card, that one has to show a copy of their b.c. to obtain. (The same as obtaining a d.l. before they changed that law to allow illegal aliens to obtain those; and conveniently issued at a DMV office as well.) Any state could do the same - or not allow any ineligibles to obtain a d.l.

  • Basically, we need a huge outpouring of sentiment in the country, to STOP THE DAMN CORRUPTION. Full stop. Obtained by such measures as CERTIFIABLY cleansed Voter Reg rolls, no more Early Voting allowed, a receipt for your vote, mandatory exit polling, and NO MORE ELECTRONIC VOTING MACHINES, which have proven to be capable of being hacked in a number of ways - back to a CLEAR PAPER TRAIL. And a finger dipped in purple dye if we have to, to stop being a damn banana republic in this terribly important matter of voting.

  • What a bunch of fools we have proven to be. Well, NO MORE, I say.

So, who’s at fault here?

Well, yes, of course: the perps.  But who all are the ‘perps’??  I would submit that that category also includes the idiots who allowed the law about same-day voter reg in the first place.  (In that state - and fifteen others!!)  'They' obviously knew what they were up to, when they proposed it = and got it passed.  ('Oh, we just meant to make it easier for people to vote.'  Right.  All kinds of people.)

And so, that category also includes the voters of the state (and other, similar, others), who have allowed this atrocity to continue.  Knowing damn full well what would happen, with such a cockamamie law.   And especially in the climate of voter and electoral fraud that has developed in this country, over many years now.  To the point where people even make fun of it.

No.  Damn.  Fun.

It undercuts terribly the whole democratic process.

You are running a casino here.

No.  Damn.  More.

Not in MY country, you won’t.

And I want to hear that declaration from millions of other such pissed-off Americans.  Who are mad as hell.  And not going to take it

Any.  Longer.

P.S. And this is not to say that there may not be a simpler answer to the business about out-of-staters voting in NH; say, college students voting where they are going to school, rather than where they live.  But we really need to check on dual voting in that case; particularly because of the signal that is being set off, with the Left trying so desperately to keep any such checking from happening.  And the same for cleansing of voter reg rolls itself.  To the Left, the mantra is 'voter suppression'.  To any objective observer, it's 'Methinks thou doth protest too much' - is a matter of Election Integrity, and needing to be perceived to be as such.
Voting is too fundamental a factor in a democracy (I know, I know; this is a republic.  But I mean in terms of 'the consent of the governed') for it to be treated lightly.  It is obvious that voter and electoral fraud have become rampant in this country.  (And don't let me get started on the electronic voting machines, switching votes from one candidate to the other.)  Apparently on the 'principle' of 'Don't get mad - get even'.  And it needs to be cleaned up.
     Or boycotted, until it is.
Like children at play; just writ large, into their adulthood.  Years, at least.
And same-day registration itself?  Nonsense.  That is a prescription for deceit.  Nothing less.
