The author's No 4 covers the answer to your query quite well.

Now, if the Obama administration wants to  [rein in / roll back; I used both expressions in my two attempts to post this response; see below]  the unconstitutional actions of its NSA, which are turning the U.S. into a veritable police state, they can get off of the suspicion hook quite easily.

Especially considering all the lying and other moral turpitude that has been going on from this administration over its years in power.  (Not to let the Bush Jr. admin off the hook in this police-state matter either.  But that's opening the answer to your query beyond the particular scope of this discussion.)

Both (extreme) sides of the political aisle are complicit in the - attempted - takeover going on, of the American Republic, by TPTB who want to fasten a (totalitarian) New World Order on the whole of humanity, for absolute Control.

And why people - patriots - like me are here at this time.

Not only to thwart these low-consciousness characters, and their thus-affiliated attempts at Total Control.  But to help in the shift to a higher level.  For all of humanity.

And for the whole solar system

And for the whole of Creation.

To all of which process I feel drawn to say, at this point:

To help draw

   to a close

our exploration

    into space
