Christianity Is...

...a cruel hoax; was designed to get the messianic Jews to worship - or at the least, to venerate - the emperor ('God the Father') Vespasian's son Titus as their Lord, by having him (and in particular, his military campaign in Judea) fulfill contrived prophecy by his 'forerunner,' a (basically) fictional character named, by the authors of this hoax (and in particular a Jewish priest-cum-general-cum-governor and subsequent historian named Josephus, adopted into the Flavian imperial family for services rendered; which action echoes down to our day), Jesus; the tall tale set back at the beginning of the generation (the"wicked generation") that ultimately saw Titus' siege and sacking of Jerusalem and destruction of the Temple, for the Jews being such a rebellious lot, in refusing to bear the yoke of Rome.  With many of the purported events from the character Jesus' public ministry being "satirical depictions of events from" the war that led up to that crushing defeat.

This is my informed opinion, from reading Joseph Atwill's absorbing, and comprehensive, book on the subject, 'Caesar's Messiah: The Roman Conspiracy to Invent Jesus'.  It is a riveting tale of power and deceit.

Read it.  (As I continue to.  But he has made his case, long before the end.)*

It really is time, on this sorely put-upon planet, that we clean out the corruption - root and branch - and live by Truth.

The whole Truth.

And nothing but.

P..S. In his Author's Statement at the back of the book, Mr. Atwill mentions that he is "an avid chess player"; and in the body of the book he mentions that he is vey computer minded (read: literate).
     It shows.

* And for the really interested: this, to be read in conjunction with Flavio Barbiero's 'The Secret Society of Moses: The Mosaic Bloodline and a Conspiracy Spanning Three Millennia'.
They have certainly positioned themselves well to take down 'Rome' from the inside in this day and age, as well.
But all of that is another story.
