Congress:

You have put the country

Nearly twenty

Trillion dollars

           in debt.

           That’s

Trillion.  With a 

          capital T.

       Just who

Did you think

Was going to pay

For all this?  

And the kitchen sink

Thrown in, too,

                    in

The bargain?

              Anybody

Else, as long as

It wasn’t you

When it came due??

               As all

         debts do,

       sooner

               or 

           later.

‘Don’t worry

Be happy’ was

Your thinking??

Not as happy as

Those who own us

From such largesse

     I reckon…

You have to have known

That this was immoral.

                        That’s

All.

              …except for

         a

     Jubilee.

     Whee.

                   But you

         didn’t know

         about that

         possibility

When you signed

      the contract

                 with

     the devil

                   and

                   the 

      deep blue sea

Above you.

            To prove your

          worth.

On your little

         kingdom

         come

On Earth.

So you still

Have a little

To learn.

And thus earn

         your 

         way

Further

           on

        the

 stairway

That you have

Been on

For a long,

         long

         time

   and gotten

   stuck on

   occasionally

   on a 

   certain

   lesson.

         Usually

   the one

   about

Actions

Having 

Consequences.

            So.

      Tempus

       fugit

       One

        and

                 All.

A word

To the wise

          usually

          being

Sufficient

      to move on

      One's 

       journey.
